Accrington Stanley (mk2) were formed in 1968 but didn't get into the football league until 2006.

edit: claretloup got there before I did.
I realise this but it has always been assumed that they are pretty much the same club. They amalgamated with Stanley Street lads (not sure when) some time after they left the league first time (hence the odd name of Accrington Stanley). When they re-formed in '68 they took the name (long dropped) of Accrington Stanley 1968 (I think for legal reasons) but the intimation was that it was a continuation of the old club, hence the motto now of 'The Club That Wouldn't Die'. I take your point but when you look at the history of the club (and if you can accept that it is pretty much the same) it is a long and chequered one.
The one thing that comes from all this seems to be that Accrington has always had difficulty in maintaining a league club. It's a shame but at least next season, assuming promotion, which looks odds-on at the moment, they will make money from much bigger gates (mainly from visiting fans). The only problem there may well be the inevitable rise in player wages as a League 1 club.
The planned re-development of the ground might help things as and when it happens, the plans look nice anyway.

There is a God, or at least a convincing illusion of one. My prayer is Lord have mercy. The caveat is (even scarier) 'You already have God's mercy right now. You WOULD be down on your knees INSTANTLY (there would be no you to do it, you would already be bacon soup on the Moon.) That's why Englanders just get on with life and don't bother with prayer stuff. They don't need to get on their knees and bow to the Ayatollah to know. They have other things going on, like double white lines on roads etc.

'Oh the shade of a tree is
Ho Ho Ho
HOLY.'

Not many trees in the desert (jealous of our nature and want to destroy it.)

We'll, they've got something to shout about now. Top of the league.
93rd minute winner. Sadly, it doesn't look like they'll be playing Venkys. :(

But probably Sunderland. :D
