To be written off at a young age is life changing. I think joe gets the banter though.

Middlesbrough were a good Ersatz Rival for a short time. I enjoyed our little mini-animosity whilst it lasted. I still occasionally look at their FMTTM Messageboard, just for sh1ts and giggles.Lancasterclaret wrote:Surely the stick Hart got is because we have a keeper challenging him in the England stakes?
Regarding the opposition fans, I'm as bad as anyone in the ground, but as soon as I'm out of the ground that is match over.
I made an exception for laughing at the Middlesborough fan crying his eyes out and shouting "you lucky bastards" at us by the cricket pitch after our 1-1 draw though!

I find it amusing that people think if someone posts something negative on here that they assume when it comes to getting behind the team or the club they will do the same thing.
Just because people have opinions and are critical does not necessarily mean they are going to show it during a game. There is a difference between having an opinion and discussing it to classless chants toward certain players.
Let me know in 25 years when we get the next youngster through that you we're all right and I was wrong

Also a nation that is now overrun by the perpetually offended cry babies... we used to have testicles, now we have twitter.Bfcboyo wrote:A nation that lost its principle , honour and manners. No longer great and just a bunch of spoilt brats with no respect. Not enough cane ,conscription, war and destitute times to provide these souless morons with back bone and respect required to have dignity , humbleness and in fact call themselves MEN.

I agree . Maybe we should deliver vicious testicle induced vigilante justice to the mannerless idiots at the footy. I don't mind banter but there is always some idiot no matter where you sit has to take it to sewer level in front of famalies.starting_11 wrote:Also a nation that is now overrun by the perpetually offended cry babies... we used to have testicles, now we have twitter.

I saw a World Cup winner, Alan Ball playing for Arsenal on the Turf, get totally destroyed by the taunts from the Longside. There was probably numerous other less famous players that got the same treatment over the years from that famous terrace.
Bally allowed us to get under his skin, so much so that he was subbed in the game because he could not play. He displayed a weakness and the crowd or mob homed in on it...c'est la vie....
