Bet you never expected Wigan to win it a few years back either? Not saying they will do it, but it could happen and until that is no longer a possibility I am not looking at 7th as a European spot. I want us to catch Arsenal and win a place that way rather than having to rely on someone losing 1 match out of 2 (I'll be more than happy to take it though if that is the way we get there though as the whole group massively deserve it after this season).

For us to be playing the team immediately below us, in a game late in the season with 7th and even 6th still up for grabs - our highest position in the best (worse) part of half a century its absolutely massive. Add to the fact chances are it would mean we will probably end up in Europe it's a massive game. Same goes for Chelsea and Arsenal.

No wonder we can't get an atmosphere these days if people can't see the importance of beating the last two premier league champions in our next two home games.

Is it as big as Orient? Perhaps not. But that was now over 30 years ago. But winning this takes us up to another level yet again. It will be massive in our ambition for attracting the next level of player too!
Perhaps? No perhaps about it. It's absolutely nowhere near as big. Even if we finish 9th it'll be a huge success.

No reason we can't aim to finish 6th. Arsenal have quite a tough run in, particularly if they're focusing on the Europa League.

I think a race to 6th is on... we only have Chelsea and some then games where we can pick up points, and Arsenal away. I don’t know what Arsenal’s run in is like but there’s nothing to suggest we can pip them to 6th...

Saturdays game is HUGE. Not in the way that the Orient game was but simply as a measure of how far Sean Dyche and his team have taken our club. Just the mere fact that we are even discussing European football at Turf Moor is amazing. I was lucky enough to see play in European football in 60/61 and 65/6 but I never in my wildest dreams thought I would see us play at that level again. We still have plenty to do to qualify and Saints have to fail to win the FA Cup but whatever happens we have had a magnificent record breaking season. We owe Leicester one !!!

Milltown is right. Saturday is huge for financial reasons alone. Get into Europe, and a whole new level of funding becomes available. Remember, it's all about the money.
