No it’s a London “ting” for someone who has a large amount of garden.

And obviously saying Grassy Arse to Spanish waiters.
Standard behaviour for every English person on their first holiday to Spain.

Not after the first though!

If it's owt like my trips abroad the waiters listen to my poor attempts at the local lingo and then take pity on me, replying in perfect English. The rest of the meal is spent speaking English.

Just wait until our Thursday night away games next season. Imagine the attitude of the paranoid and petrified posters who frequent this site.

I'll ask again, how much does the government pay for bank holidays?

You realise “the economy” and “the government” aren’t the same thing, right?

You're not reading the question properly are you?

The figure you've provided is apparently how much lower the economy is for each bank holiday.

That's not how much the government pays is it?

So can you please try and answer the question properly next time?

If you could also provide figures for how much brexit will hurt the economy by (last I saw it was £252bn), and explain your opposition to this on the same grounds, then that would be great.

Yes, I'm just playing beeholes silly game.
The original question "who is going to pay for that" was perfectly valid. And because he doesn't have an answer, he starts with this nonsense

Do you oppose Brexit on the same grounds Damo? £252bn hit to the economy

Does this silly game involve providing an answer you know to be false (but which other people might erroneously believe to be correct) to a question he asks you? Because that’s a bit dishonest.

Anyway, now I’ve pointed that out, I can leave the two of you to it.

Why are you asking me if you already know the answer? (An answer of sorts, a figure plucked out of your favourite commentators backside no doubt)
I'm not opposed to Brexit as you probably know. I'm not even sure why you have brought it into this conversation to be honest

I think both sides get as silly as each other, egging each other on in a spiral of pettiness.

Almost every non-football thread on here turns into the same boring argument and it's tiresome.

Never mind about William Shakespeare it's also the birthday of other living, equally prolific posters on football message boards. My rallying call before every match 'summon up the blood, stiffen the sinews and disguise fair courage with hard rage'.
