Re: 58% Pass Success
This is spot on.
I appreciate what Dyche says when he suggests we'll be carved open if we go out all guns blazing, but at least try stringing some passes together... Makes the **** football intolerable when the results don't come.. yet that is off the back of two wins from similar performances.
Have to remember though that Chelsea also got beaten at Everton.. its just more the manner of Dyche's gameplan that disappoints.

All part of Dyches's **** poor interpretation of football. Getting sick of spending large amounts of money to watch negative, cynical, zero risk football. If anybody is happy with what we've been served up recently they need their head looking at

That team had a fully fit Defour in the middle of the park though. He was always available for a pass and if the ball went into his feet even under pressure he was good enough to keep hold of it and keep it moving. Technically he was head and shoulders above any of our present team, apart from maybe McNeil.claretspice wrote: ↑Thu Dec 26, 2019 6:06 pmIndeed. You can line this team up man for man with the team that went to Everton 2 years ago and won with a 23 man goal, and technically it is not materially worse - or at least, needn't be. But we have become increasingly on a very rigid, basic 442 and whilst results this calendar year have been good, and we've gone from a disastrous league position to a very good one, its increasingly apparent that that set up often comes at the expense of any attempt to play a more refined style of football.

Everton are a poor side with over hyped players
We played into their hands with poor team selection and poor tactics
New manager or not they were beatable and we failed to put poor goalkeeper or defence under any pressure
Worse still our powder puff midfield allowed Sigusson to run unchallenged to create thei winner

The last minute first half corner was one of the most pathetic things I’ve seen. Dycheball written all over it. They should have been sprinting to take the corner fgs
