Unfortunately never to be played live by Rush again.
I assumed it to be a Simón and Garfunkel reference

For years I was convinced Beyonce was singing "I'm a cigarette, I'm a cigarette and not I'm a single lady!!
I have found its just me thinks this and tbh I dont know why I thought she would be saying she was a cigarette but I'm still hoping someone on here can see where I was coming from?

My mate used to sing “painted love” by Soft Cell
Also my Mum used to sing “it could be Rotherham or anywhere” to the Rotterdam song by the Beautiful South

I'm dotty on loneliness, motorcycle emptiness - Manic Street Preachers
From above the shed it's a lonely view - Scar Tissue / Chili Peppers
I seriously thought that was 'Winterburn in the shed, it's a lonely view'.
I don't know where Lee Dixon was, in the garage perhaps.

Maxwell tapes did this best.
Darling cheese head I was yards to greasy
Oooooh ohh me ears are alight.
Into the valley peas sure sound divine.
Ahoy ahoy, barman and soda.

Billy Ocean - thought the chorus was "go and get stuffed not "going gets tough"
Bon Jovi - "it doesn't really matter if we're naked or not" rather than "if we make it or not"
Police singing about 'Sue Lawley'
I had a major crush on Sue Lawley.....those legs..crossing and uncrossing!

I think they'd have to be a bit more specific than that if they were ordering a KFC.

The Mrs seems to think that REM’s sidewinder sleeps tonight is not “call me when you try to wake her up” and is in fact “coming to Jamaica”.......
Very annoying it is too...
Tell her to count the syllables next time she hears it bud...coming to Jamaica is only 2/3s of the scan.
I must admit that line was the subject of much discussion at one point because it is delivered so fast that it is hard to decipher.

1. Bee Gees More than a Woman I thought was 'bald headed woman' (listen next time you hear it - it really does sound like that)
2. The Heart Does Go On - the hot dogs go on (courtesy of Peter Kay - I can't here anything else ever since he came up with that).
3. Chiquitita (Abba) I am still utterly convinced is 'chicken tikka'.

I was just thinking about this very song a few days ago and how as kids we struggled to work it out - back when there was no internet and life was black and white

I’ve tried telling her many a thing over the mere 22 years we have been together....unfortunately she has a tendency to analyse what I say and do the opposite....reckon she does it on purpose tbh.
It is hard to decipher but it is definitely nothing to do with a Caribbean country....

It's on America's tortured brow
That Mickey Mouse is goin up a cow.....
Acual lyric is
It's on America's tortured brow
That Mickey Mouse has grown up a cow
She couldn't work out why I was creased up with laughter... so I showed her this thread.

I’m sure many of us have the same issue. I’ve started telling her to do something I don’t want done and not do something I want done...early days but might be into something
