According to the Burnley Express McNiel is only worth £16m and is off to Everton, Leicester or Wolves
Think they just got the numbers the wrong way round.

Does Brentford have a sell on % for Tarks?
(it was Brentford we bought him from wasn't it?)
Players heads may well get turned this summer, in which case it would be hard to keep hold of them, I'd be surprised if Chelsea aren't looking at Pope & Tarks, with what they could offer as a package, once a player heads is turned there's not much a club can do.

McNeil is v much a work in progress , he’s good and improving and young but he’s hardly tearing defences apart and scoring worldies. I’d hope we’d get another season out of him and a very good one at that .
Totally agree. No way he will go to a really big club until he is consistently effecting games with regular assists and goals. Which he will, given game time, which he may not get if he moves.
Agree with others that starts is the most likely, but I’m hoping the general Covid financial uncertainties, a shorter window, etc will mean we’re more likely to keep this group together for another year.

Should think Tarky will be in demand this window, David Luiz is an absolute liability, Arsenal could do a lot worse than buying him. Obv would be good to keep him another season but that’s probably pushing it, should be a big fee seeing as he’s better than Mcguire for me.

If any of the 3 have to go, it's likely to be Tarks, purely because he's only got 2 years on his contract, and if we let him get down to the last 12 months then his value will severely diminish, i can't see McNeil or Pope going anywhere, both are tied to long-term deals, so we can ask big fees for those 2.
I do agree that the most important factor in our ongoing success, is ensuring SD is still at the helm next season and beyond.
Players can be replaced, the most successful manager we've had since Harry Potts, will be more harder to replicate.
