I think it's really good we are able to have these discussions and shows how far we have come.

For me it's more about formations and how SD wants to play and therefore also about who is the opposition, Wood is better at holding the ball up and allowing others to come in to play when we are playing more counter attacking football, particularly against teams we know will dominate possession but he is also very frustrating in straying offside as much as he does. Vydra is much better at movement and making spaces for others, he does make openings but also is frustrating with some of the misses, which Wood would probably score, but Wood is slow and would never have made the opportunity.

Playing a 4 4 1 1 with McNeil in the number 10 role I would prefer Vydra every time and this is a formation I would like to see more of for select games.

Playing 4 4 2 then Wood is a great option and Wood should be there, it's fantastic we have 2 options to partner him and hopefully 3 by the time next season comes round.

As someone else said horses for courses and finally SD has seen benefits and Vydra is working far harder since the restart for me and is now in the SD image, where before I don't think he quite fitted so this change leads to these kinds of discussions and opinions, which can only be a good thing.

When Vydra came on, Liverpool were leading and we improved to level.
Vydra was on the pitch for about a minute before the goal, which came out of the blue. His introduction had nothing to do with the equaliser. We looked more of a threat after our equaliser because Liverpool opened up.

I also was watching on my phone and did the same thing. FFS WOOD! Only to see number 19 on his back
Ah perhaps been a bit harsh if I was berating him for all JRods mistakes  all is forgiven then!
