Just watched a French 5-parter. Gone for Good(Disparu a jamais) from a Harlan Coben novel.
We watched with sub-titles but there was an option to watch it dubbed.
According to Miss Minnie it only has a short run.

Usual Coben fair. Somebody missing nobody knows why. Packs lots of twists in including the ending.

The get down brothers

Terrific series on life in the Bronx in the late seventies-beginning eighties and the emerging hiphop scene

Thanks for the Clarkson’s Farm recommendations. I really wasn’t expecting to enjoy it, and I definitely wouldn’t have watched had I not read on here but I thought it was really good.

On episode 3 of The Defeated on Netflix

Atmospheric (and quite brutal in parts) crime/ gangster/revenge thriller set in 1946 Berlin, been very good so far.

I know there are plenty of Ozark fans on here so the good news is the final series premiers in January.

Ozark.
That’s a good choice I’m waiting for the next 1 to come out, regarding the OP squid games isn’t a bad watch I think I’ve seen it mentioned on here before.

I'm watching The Kominsky Method on Netflix and recommending it to everyone atm. Michael Douglas as a washed up Actor who runs an acting school and Alan Arkin as his agent. 30 minute episodes that are just brilliantly written and acted...seriously funny and a real quality programme. Special guest appearances by the likes of Danny De Vito, Kathleen Turner, Elliot Gould and apparently Hollywood big names were queuing up.

Watching 'Maid' based on the diary/book of a single parent trying to escape a domestic situation. Quite gritty - we are enjoying it

I’ve also heard midnight mass is good

Just finished Squid Game and really enjoyed it. I started in English but switched to the original Korean and that was better. Basically kids games but you get killed if you fail !

If you enjoyed Squid Games, give Alice in Boarderlands a watch. That’s on Netflix too.

I thought squid games was massively overrated, essentially Battle Royale with a slightly new element of kids games.

Manhunt : Unabomber is my shout. The way it's acted out, I actually found myself having some sympathy for Paul Bettany's portrayal of Ted Kaczynski, surrounding how his lawyers acted. It's a long haul but very worth it in my opinion.

Watched the first episode of 'True Story' on Netflix last night. Kevin Hart, Wesley Snipes. Excellent opener, looks very decent.

fury is a good film, about a tank crew in WW2
Only Brad Pitt could could have 4 or 5 potatoe mashers thrown into the tank he occupies and only suffer a small cut to the forehead. 😮

Watched the first episode of MAID last night enjoyed it.
Another recommendation is Crime on Britbox, starring Dougary Scott as a gnarled old copper investigating young girls murders, set with the nice, and so not nice parts of Edinburgh as a backdrop, and look out for John Simm in the later episodes playing one of the creepiest parts he must ever have played

Anyone who likes stuff based on real life, watch The Billion Dollar Code. It's about the guys who invented what is now Google Earth, before Google completely ripped off the idea. Really good.

The Kill Team.

About a young soldier becoming disturbed by the actions of his new Sergeant whilst out in Afghanistan.
Good film, bit disturbing and troubling, worth a watch.

I didn't realise it's loosely based on a true story until the end, it just looked interesting so I watched it.
