Pope 7 not a lot to do
Lowton 6 great run and shot but first half passing was off
Tarkowski 8
Mee 7
Taylor 7
Brownhill 6 good energy off the ball
Cork 8 adds quality to the middle of the park
Westwood 8 super strike
McNeil 9 Outstanding today and 2 assists
Vydra 8 unlucky with offside goal and great to see a run with speed
Wood 10 all round superb centre forward display

We were at it from the first minute and could have had another couple easily. Great result.

Pope 8 - very good save from the deflection off Taylor, alert otherwise and good handling when needed.
Lowton 9 - his distribution constantly asked questions of Wolves and he was solid albeit not regularly troubled by Wolves.
Tarkowski 8 -dominant.
Mee 8 - untroubled, very solid.
Taylor 8 - dealt with Traore very well cutting off the angles, blocking crosses or forcing Traore to hit it behind for a gk. Outlet on the ball also.
Brownhill 7- did his role very well and really helps solidify us in the middle and make us harder to break down.
Cork 8 - excellent anticipation picking up second balls and knitted things together nicely
McNeil 9 - excellent on the ball, 2 fantastic assists and worked extremely hard. .
Vydra 8 - started slowly but a constant nuisance from 10 minutes and thereafter
Wood 10 - fantastic performance, 3excellent goals and an assist. Hes come back aggressive and confident after his spell out. His strike partner Ian giving him much more room to play in also.

Jay 7 - looked sharp

Pope 7 - Not that much to do but was calming to see him coming and catching crosses and corners in his own inimitable way.
Lowton 8 - Some good runs forward and excellent balls into the channel for the forwards.
Tarkowski 8 - Solid and almost had a bonus red for Traore after winding the Wolves players up after Tom Daley's dive.
Mee 8 - Solid
Taylor 8 - Managed the right flank well and kept Traore to limited positions forcing him to cross into the stands most of the game.
Brownhill 8 - Broke up play well and did the simple stuff very well.
Westwood 8 - Terrific finish for the goal and good all round performance.
Cork 8 - Strengthens the centre mid area when he plays, sometimes that experience is needed.
McNeil 9 - Terrific game, involved in all parts, defensively and could have had a hat-trick of assists if Vydra had cut his toenails last night.
Vydra 8 - Good game again, looks full of confidence and the finish for the offside goal was terrific.
Wood 9 (MOM) - Terrific performance, his flick to Vydra to set him away down the left in the first half was sublime and deserved an assist, got to be happy with a hat trick and an assist though. Might even make Crooks team of the week 😀

Kep updated by a pal in Burnley watching game. I notice already 4 posts have singled out Lowton for a Mark lower than any other player
We did not concede and he had an assist
Obviously 4 posters don’t like him is my honest opinion
With respect you didn’t even watch the game so how on earth can you comment or pass judgement. It’s all about opinions. I don’t think JayRod deserved an 8 for his sub appearance but another poster does so be it. I’m sure that doesn’t have Jay Rod favouritism. You quite often give players high marks for abject performances or for players just turning up and that’s your right to do that.

He is very poor defensively and Tarks consistently bails him out. Going forward he is strong

Pope 8 - Really didn't have too much to do, but seems to give the defence more confidence.
Lowton 8 - Looked more positive again.
Tarkowski 9 - Just a class player
Mee 9 - strong
Taylor 8 - did well
Brownhill 9 - works so very hard, incredible fitness. (+1 for playing well out of position)
Westwood 9 - Looked to pass forwards whenever he could. (+1 for the awesome goal)
Cork 9 - looks so accomplished
McNeil 9 - Almost at his best, almost
Vydra 8 - DId OK, not quite as threatening as recent
Wood 10 - Just awesome.

2nd half was easy.

As only the third player in PL history to score a first half hat-trick away from home and the first since 1998 - coupled with an assist difficult to think what constitutes a '10' if it's not that performance

I think sometimes our players are evaluated against a benchmark of absolute perfection

As someone who has watched us consistently since the 1970s difficult to think of a better centre forward display than what I saw today

The difference between excellent and out of this world ?
I’m going for out of this world . The pundits rave about the media driven ‘stars’ such as that Brazilian poser Neymar. Good to have a platform for real fans ( the devil excluded) to rave about one of their own. Well done Chris!

This is the 1st time I've done this since we beat Coyles Bolton rabble at the Turf 1st game of the season

All 10

Wood MOM

It was a complete performance for the entire game, easy on the eye, kept the backdoor shut, scored a shed load and could have had a shed load more

I've always said ( often shouted down on here) we are a vastly better team with Wood in the side (with the departed Hendrick). Perhaps Brownhill can fill that Hendrick roll ?

Out biggest away or for that matter win margin in the PL era and people are giving 7s out. I thought it was a complete performance tbh.

It's like the TV show Four In A Bed

Superb Room
Superb hospitality
Good Food....... But my poached egg wasn't runny enough and the butter for my toast wasn't from a freshly squeezed teat of a cow from Devon

It's a 7 from me

The most complete performance I have seen from us for some time and Wood was unplayable. Wood sensed their defence was shaky but boy did he take advantage of that.

All 8 with the exceptions of:-
Wood 10 (Brilliant CF display)
Westwood 9 (Extra point for sublime strike)
Lowton 7 (I was convinced after 15 minutes that he thought we were playing in our yellow away kit because every pass went to a Wolves player. He is playing with such confidence at present that I think he just gets carried away with his skill. Keep it simple Matt and your next goal is not far away ;)

It has to be 8's or higher for everybody surely.
Best away performance in ages

Pope 8

Lowton 8
Tarkowski 8
Mee 8
Taylor 8

Brownhill 8 Not his biggest fan but played well the last two games when he seems to be benefitting from playing further forward
Westwood 8 Much better
Cork 9 Missed him
McNeil 9 Brilliant

Wood 10 OUTSTANDING
Vydra 9 Such a shame his brilliantly taken goal was wiped out.
