That would defeat the purpose of somebody paying to sponsor the shirt though.
Not really
Company’s don’t pay the money they do to sponsor a team so that 60 people see “Big Mick” wearing it whilst drinking a few pints in his local on a Friday night
They pay for the millions that watch the match/highlights each week

In which case, why put the sponsors on the fans shirt then?
They hope there are thousands of big micks, which lead to possibly millions seeing the shirt with their name plastered all over it.

The only thing letting that kit down is the hideous monochrome badge

Apparently we are targeting banks and car manufacturers for next year, so we only signed a stopgap deal with SE

The gold sponsors and badges look good. The Burnley coloured badge would absolutely spoil that kit.

The monochrome badges have only come into fashion these past few years. It just isn’t a bfc badge in monochrome colours. The badge in normal colours have been fine in the past going back to the earlier parts of the last decade.

It's a nice design and colour scheme but I won't be buying it for the reason others have mentioned, in that it promotes gambling.

Completely agree. The brightness of the blue on our badge would ruin it on a shirt like this. Having monochrome on the away or third caters for everyone’s tastes but personally think this is the nicest of all the kits this year, although they’re all good.
Son has waited for all three to come out before deciding which to buy and he’s having this one.

Exactly. This shirt looks great to me because it is classy and simple, with dark blue, a little claret and gold going well together. Sticking a standard badge on there would completely ruin the classy appeal of it. This is the nicest shirt I’ve seen produced by any club for a number of years - I really like it. It’s personal opinion but I bet they sell a load of these.

On holiday at the moment in Spain. The bar manager is Croatian and supports Liverpool. He does follow our results though, he likes our attitude as the underdogs giving the bigger teams problems.
He sought me out today to say he had seen the unveiling of our third kit and how smart it was

I do like it but get the comments of it looking more like a training kit

Really nice shirts this season. Seen some comments about the monochrome badges. I don't mind them. I actually think we could go further and redesign the badge. It's an opinion, of course, but I think we made an error switching in 2009. The badge currently in use is too cluttered, has too little distinctive symbolism, has too many colours of the wrong shades, and just isn't overall recognisable. In short - it's very ugly. I don't think going back to the badge we used before 2009 is necessarily the answer although it is a better badge. I'd be supportive of a redesign, using elements of the badge in a more streamlined, stylish and effective way. Fans could even vote on what they deem to be the most important elements of a Burnley FC badge. But yeah. Fan accounts on Twitter have better badges as their profile photos than the club has on the actual shirts.
Nice shirts though. (Also like quoonbeatz's comment about going with claret and navy as our colours rather than eighteen different blues across the shirt, badge, seats, stadium cladding... Looks way smart and would make us fairly unique.)

You might not have a problem with a shirt advertising gambling, many others do.
Some. rather than many, I would say.

Whilst I agree with you, it has been proven at other clubs, that perfectly viable alternatives are possible. West Ham allowed fans to buy sponsorless shirts both last season snd this AND at the same price, so it can be done.
It’s all very well and good having a go at those fans questioning the morals of the club when it comes to endorsing gambling sponsors, but I know for a fact that a hell of a lot of work has been put in behind-the-scenes, to engage with the club on this matter by the Supporters Groups.
I feel that we are extremely close to a point where gambling sponsorship will be removed from shirts in the not too distant future. I would like to think this is one reason why our current deal is on such short terms. Times are changing and rightly so.
Do I accept that gambling companies currently offer by far the greatest sponsorship deals financially? Yes, sadly I do. Do I believe the future of gambling sponsorship on shirts will change? Yes and relatively soon.
Do I believe that this is an issue that people with a moral compass and firm opinion on the subject, should continue to bang the drum on? Yes, absolutely!!

So if you're not against gambling, then you don't have a moral compass? What if you enjoy gambling? Does that make you the devil incarnate?

And if you are a paedophile but against gambling, your moral compass is spot on.

I doubt a few fans disapproving of gambling sponsors and not buying shirts is going to make much difference. As someone says above they pay the bills and more than other companies. Think most people would buy a shirt with a beer company on it but if you were an alcoholic or someone very close to you wax then you probably wouldn’t. I’d prefer another sponsor but this is the world we live in. At least this company is contributing to Alzheimer’s which is such a worthwhile cause. That’s probably enough to make me buy one regardless of what they are advertising.
