Played well for 20 mins or so and then it just died. I thought the pen was soft too.

Immediately, no. But there were certainly some players with potential and some that would I would like to see given an opportunity against Rochdale.

Thought Helm and Mancini both showed good qualities both in passing and carrying the ball forwards. To say they were outnumbered due to Wolves' formation vs ours I think they did well.

Richardson as always looked sharper than everyone else on the pitch IMO.

I was very impressed with Mellon's strength and aerial ability, given he was the youngest player on the pitch he never looked out of place.

Dodgson's crossing was very high quality.

It's one hell of a leap from the U23s and the lads' lack of League experience to the PL. As Mattster says it's firstly a question of potential.

I've seen nothing of Gomez Mancini but those who have say he looks a player. Ayr wanted him I believe but we obviously thought he was wanted in or around the first-team squad or possibly a loan to a certain level above the Scottish second tier.

It's up to the lad to push on and become a very good player at U23 level to encourage SD to give him minutes in the first-team (like Benson last season).

It would be good to see some of these lads given gametime against Rochdale.
