Not a shitfest Steve but wish I had been driving from Arran to Fife ... instead of sat watching Kevin No-mates destroy Burnleys Season with a totally destructive non performance as a match official ... I have seen some one sided refereeing performances in my 40 years+ of following BFC but today was the worst BAR NONE ....

Re: Positives from tod
Lennon proved his true worth to the club, the performance showed how much we have gone backwards in the last two/three seasons, we know we need at least four players with more quality especially in midfield. This may make the new owners realise we need change at the club, with more players with the skill and ability of Cornet, in order to try and survive in the PL.

Re: Positives from today
We dont get Friend every game
Collins had a GREAT debut
We kept a clean sheet
Roberts and Cornet getting closer to fitness
We know we need a new effective striker in January, plus an additional CM

Re: Positives from today
Ward-Prowse got sent off for Saints, looking at the challenge it could easily be a 3 match ban meaning he would miss our game

FFS Read the thread title! Fair enough with the 'Three bottles of Bowland in the 'fridge' but Ginster's pasties???
I thought Collins looked excellent, so perhaps a few quid for JT in January? Not error free, but Brownhill & Lowton put in great shifts today, both JT and Nick Pope seemed nearer to their best again. We didn't lose and the torrential rain i set off to the match in blew through 1/2 an hour from TM and didn't restart until I was home again.
Oh, I got free tickets for today's game too

Explains a lot.
Re: Positives from today
Well in that case why would you make a statement about not having to watch that dross for a while then??Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 03, 2021 9:24 amNo thankfully I gave up my season ticket this year. Saved myself north of £130 each match day now.

Ginster's pasties, just an occasional guilty pleasure.AfloatinClaret wrote: ↑Sun Oct 03, 2021 9:12 amFFS Read the thread title! Fair enough with the 'Three bottles of Bowland in the 'fridge' but Ginster's pasties???

Re: Positives from today
A positive for me is that most of the posters on here with the loudest, sometimes outrageous comments on players, tactics and team coaching, who are also some of the most opinionated people about our club, DON'T EVEN GO TO GAMES, and so I don't have to listen to them when I am at Turf Moor!!

I'd no issue with the pasties bit - they're one of my major vices - it was the 'Ginster's' bit that I couldn't stomach.gawthorpe_view wrote: ↑Sun Oct 03, 2021 9:33 amGinster's pasties, just an occasional guilty pleasure.
Then again, when we're travelling I have a boat-rule which says: If we see anything that looks like a cornish pasty, I buy one and try it. There have been more than a few over the years that I'd have happily traded for a Ginsters.

Re: Positives from today
The new North Stand hospitality area is quite good.
Jeff Brown was on good form.
Enjoyable day really.
Seen enough from our team to be confident we will win 9 or 10 games.

If the ref had been anyone else we would have got a penalty and won that game
