Sad news to read, yet another of our legends of the championship winning side leaves us.

He was probably overshadowed by the great Jimmy Mac, but Jimmy Robson was a true star in his own right.

RIP Jimmy Robson

Not many things bring me to tears but this terribly sad news did exactly that.
Jimmy was a simply fantastic man. Underrated as a player and as nice a person as you could ever wish to know
He didn’t know my Dad but didn’t hesitate to attend his funeral. My Dad would have been so very proud and I am sure he will be sharing my sorrow today
I was so lucky to watch the bulk of Jim’s career and then to have the honor of working with him at Huddersfield Town.
My sincere condolences go to all his family Thank you for everything Jimmy. RIP

A fantastic man. Softly spoken. Never had to raise his voice whilst coaching us younger lads (because of the respect we had for him) around 20 years or so ago. Rest in peace Jimmy x

It would be lovely to see a gathering outside Turf Moor tomorrow to give one of Burnley's greats the send off he deserves.
I only got to know Jimmy in the last 10 years, but I've got to say that he was one of the nicest bloke I have ever met. I will continue to tell the stories that he told me, but I won't tell them as well.

Below is copied from Twitter from Jimmy's daughter Dany's page.

1.50 Drive past Turf Moor
2.15 St Stephens Church
3.15 at Burnley Crematorium
Afterwards to be confirmed
Everyone is welcome - we just ask as a family that anyone attending has a Covid test in the morning as Jimmy would hate to be a super-spreader!

FCBurnley, I will be at the Turf, paying my respects. As the courtage passes, I will bow my head, for the both of us. It may help you feel a little closer in spirit, to Jim's funeral.
