Obviously everyone will get a ticket refund, however they should receive a further £30.00, to cover travel expenses etc, funded by the EPL. Let's face it - we are talking about the richest league in the world. They should bring this policy in for all games that are called off at short notice.
And what if you don’t want a ticket refund because you’ll use it for the rearranged game? How do the club police any refund process to ensure people don’t exploit it? For example - a car of 4 adults. How do you prove who drove? What if all 4 claim they drove there in separate vehicles?
Nothing will be offered or given.

Fully understand that when he's been looking forward to it so much. We, as adults, can understand games being called off at times for whatever reason, but for an excited 6 year old it is totally different.
Agree if anything though it should stand the little lad in good stead going forwards I guarantee it won’t be the last disappointment he suffers in life.

My first away game was a massive disappointment. Despite going 1-0 in front we were beaten 2-1 at Ewood. That's a bad start but there have been so many more disappointments since.

Does anyone know please if the club has communicated about refunds for Villa tickets? Can't recall seeing anything but might have missed it.

I get the impression this relates to the postponed Watford game.

Wasn't that the statement released by Villa following the postponement?

Should be the case for me then as I bought my tickets in the hospitality through Villa, not counting my chickens just yet though.

Gutted for all Clarets today, especially all of you who travelled, the ones from Dublin, Ianmcl and you and your son deserve the red carpet for a game in the future......paid for by the premier league (premier thats a joke). Hope we stuff Villa whenever its replayed and your sons there to see it Chuckypad.
You have to feel sorry for this Villa fan though - makes Ian's wasted trips seem like a trip across town.

That's helpful to know, thanks.
I don't think it's too much to expect the club to send an automated email to those who purchased tickets for Villa to inform them of position or at least update their website to that effect.

I think it's reasonable for the club to expect you to search the ticket website if you're as bothered about a refund as you claim to be.

And I had checked the website but couldn't see anything. A simple point in the right direction would've been appreciated rather than your unnecessary smart ar5e comment.

I was at the ticket office first thing Monday morning. They WOULD NOT refund my villa tickets back to my account.I then asked for Man U refund 1 ticket...oh,I can do that she said, so I got a refund there and then.surprise bloody surprise!
Got a ticket for Leeds away, asked for that back.Nope sorry, Its in the top tier
so I am not authorised for a refund, till my superior comes in later.
I have decided to give them all a miss now, because we are being taken for a right ride. She then asked me to email the ticket office when I got back and they would definitely get back to me on this.So I took her word and did just that...not a f...ing word.Complete shambles imho!
Believe you me it was hard to keep calm,I was raging... though she was only doing her job.Totally ****** off with BFC ticketing system, never had any trouble before returning the odd away ticket to be fair....what is going on down there!!!

Expect a reply in 3-5 business years if you’ve emailed the ticket office.

Nothing unnecessary about it at all. You or some other poster thought it reasonable for the club to send out emails to each and every ticket buyer. That's ludicrous - far easier and more logical to put it on the club website for those interested to find the information they need.
I'd be astonished if the club don't announce when and how refunds may be claimed....

I said they should at least put in on their website. And it's ludicrous to that say it's ludicrous for the club to send emails - it would be very straightforward because email addresses are connected to the purchase process which is why I got an email confirming my purchase in the first place.

Impractical and unnecessary but, if it's easier to whinge and feel entitled to an email then, fine, you can crack on. Logging on to the club website is no more difficult or time-consuming than checking your own email inbox.

It's not impractical at all - it is the most simplest of things to do. I regularly receive emails from the club linked to my account. But yes, as I said, a message on their website would suffice. Have you seen such a message?

I haven't seen anything either and, unless I've missed such information, my original point stands. That the club should email those who bought tickets and/or put some information on their website.

Or, much easier, put an announcement on the website. Here's a thought : perhaps, bearing in mind the number of postponements so far and the many to come, they are waiting for the picture to become clearer.

How many times - I said or put a message on their 'kin website. As you say you're not affected so I am not sure why it concerns you at all. With match and train tickets I'm about four hundred quid out of pocket so I was only asking if anyone had heard anything. Only you thought it was necessary to be an arse about it.

Don't be silly. You were demanding an email from the club. Pointing out alternatives or reasons that may not be possible is neither insulting you or belittling you so grow up. I couldn't care less about refunds but I don't like to see the club criticised unfairly.
You're hacked off at losing money - we get it.
You'll get your ticket money back sooner or later, no doubt. The other costs ? Well, that's just tough. but don't take a cheap shot at the club because of it.
It really isn't that important.

Just to clarify I'm not hacked off at losing the money. I was simply seeking information. And for further context here is a post I made after the postponement:

That's the bottom line really. We travelled by train at a cost but we were well aware of the risks before we set off.

So there's no problem after all. You know you'll get your refund information and ticket money back when it's possible to give them.

It's quite normal for organisations that take money for goods and services, that they can no longer provide, send emails to their customers to explain. Amazon, Ebay, and the Rugby World Cup all did it this year for me. I don't think there's any great technical problem.

Not putting an announcement on the website even saying they are waiting for further info is pretty poor. They're probably waiting to hear from the home teams so why not tell people that?

“It really isn’t that important” it is if you are cash strapped especially at Christmas, it isn’t important if you can afford to lose the money.

When I need a loan I’ll know where to go.
