that's the biggest issue, no punishment (don't like that word tbh) for being crap.

if it's a straight red and harsh (i'm not watching so don't know) then surely they will appeal ?

Straight red for denying a goalscoring opportunity, but according to the commentators another defender would have got across to cover, I don't know if they can appeal or not, but if they can I suspect they will.
