Depends entirely on Tarkowski’s fitness as to whether we have a chance, in my opinion. I have nothing against Kevin along, he’s sat and admirably been the backup when needed for 12 years but to have him as the ‘senior’ centre back in three massive games would be something I see as a step too far.

Richardson being involved isn’t throwing the towel in on my part though to be clear, I just think why not get him on the bench as an option (if fit)? We have lost Vydra for the season, we’ve no idea when Rodriguez is back, Weghorst and Barnes aren’t scoring - why not? I’d rather have a young lad as a forward option to throw on than Phil Bardsley sitting on the bench when we already have Matt Lowton there.
