Bit harsh for an Olympic diver to be banned from diving tbhjackmiggins wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 8:46 amPersonally think any diver should be banned from any competitive sport. Not funny, and definitely not welcome!

Silva and Raul at Wolves. Think Silva was on loan.
Their squad in general are amazing at it.
Grealish is very good at it too.
You notice younger players are just getting better and better at it and it's more prominent now in the championship than it used to be.
Barnes has gotten worse at it as he built a reputation.

Portuguese pretty much invented it. I can remember the '66 World Cup.superdimitri wrote: ↑Thu Oct 20, 2022 2:12 pmSilva and Raul at Wolves. Think Silva was on loan.

He appeared to just stumble forwards as he tried to outpace the defenders...I thought it was a ridiculously harsh booking, epecially after the ref had earlier let a dive from their man Hannibal go with just a brief word.

Hannibal seemed to like throwing himself to the ground for Birmingham last night. Didn’t take much persuasion to hit the deck time and time again.

Vince hilaire was a stand-out in his day. Salah is worst of the current crop. He does the same cheating move over and over yet commentators etc never seem to call him out.
Brighton used to have a full front line of formation divers, but potter cleared the last of them out.
Kane awful
Gordon awful
Richarlison at least comes with comedic value.
Barnes reversing is no different from Dalglish who made a career out of using his fat arse to advantage, but, of course Dalglish is seen as an even greater ******* Saint than kane.

Klinsman at Spurs could fairly throw his self about, like most Germans did in those days

I was gonna mention Franny. Lee one pen became so common in results that many asked if City were using a Chinese player.AlargeClaret wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 9:21 amFranny Lee was one of the original divers in the box . It’s the “ all over the pitch “ cheating which has infected the game in the last 5/10 yrs which is appalling imo . Harry Kane is truly shocking in his cheating , to think a role model, world class ability and Eng captain has to fall over constantly is nothing short of embarrassing.

Me against JDRobbo who was in goal at one of the old CM charity football matches
Was a sublime dive which one a penalty

I forget the name of the Arsenal player who Sean Dyche singled out.
During the covid lockdown I think, double somersault followed by a triple pike.
The screams could be heard in places as far away as Todmorden and Keighley.
