That was my first Bruce concert.. Excellent night.Clarets4me wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 9:25 amJust been in the wait and then queue for a total of 51 minutes, then all sold out, tickets were from £109.50 to £162.50 !
Looks like I'll have to get the turntable out and play the bootleg of the 4th July 1985 show at Wembley, which I went to, at a cost of £9 !! And I got to see the late Clarence Clemons and Danny Federici ....![]()

Re: Bruce at Villa Park
I’ve seen Bruce Springsteen four times in concert and all were excellent. Happy days for those of you going to Villa Park. Any of you planning on getting to the front with a piece cardboard with a song request on? What are you going to request if so? Think I’d go with Thunder Road. Love the fact his band can just play anything from his back catalogue. He’ll literally play until the lights come on too!

Not sure that's true..Courtney Cox is in the official video for Dancing in the Dark when she plays a "random girl in the audience" who Bruce pulls up on stage to dance with him. Clearly a staged/acted event though.

Courtney Cox was the girl he got up on stage in the Dancing In The Dark video. It was recorded after a live show and the audience were asked to stay back for the recording. Although many did a lot were unhappy that a plant was fetched in instead of using a real fan from the crowd.Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 9:57 amNot a Bruce Springsteen myself buy my cousin who love his stuff told me that the lass who plays Monica in Friends actually got spotted by a talent agency when Springsteen pulled her up on stage at one of his shows.

I always thought that song was on about getting dressed in the dark, not dancing.

Re: Bruce at Villa Park
I was there for that one as well although my first gig was in Newcastle the month before, then I went to Leeds as well. All the staging and amps etc from that gig were used on Live Aid a few weeks later although Bruce didn’t play. Seen him loads of times since. Gothenburg next.
Saw him at Milton Keynes early 90s and he just kept playing. So many encores that the rest of the band gave up and the last few were all acoustic. Almost 4 hours on stage! Even now he always does well over 3 hours. Bit of advice if you’ve not seen him before, he quite often does a pre-show eg for an 8pm gig he may come out at 6:30 and do a few acoustic songs

Would love to go and see The Boss at Murrayfield...sadly the prices they are charging to see live events these days are getting ridiculous.

Honestly you can get bargains outside stadiums or on Facebook Marketplace. There are always people turning up with spare tickets because someone couldn’t go. In the last few weeks I’ve seen Diana Ross for £20 and Stereophonics for £20. It’s different for smaller shows but for the stadiums you’ll definitely get a bargain.
