A lot of people asking for a centre half but…

- THB and Taylor played really well;
- McNally is a tall, ball-playing CH who had a fantastic campaign last year;
- Egan-Riley presumably has the schooling to play this style;
- We still have Thomas and Long.

Priority should be a technical, clinical number 9.

Costelloe is only going to get better. If we got Hendry, O'Hare and DeLap that would make us a force
I suspect we are already a force but those three could make us unstoppable. We would lose the odd game but probably would match Fulham's points tally.

I worry about sides going long against us and playing down our flanks, nearly cost us yesterday, so a top defender is probably a priority at CB if the young lads aren’t deemed ready yet.

I think defence and midfield is set up well for this league.

THB, ER, McNally, Long, Taylor can all play CB. With strong wing backs and a sweeper keeper.

The midfield duo sitting can be 2 of Cork, Cullen, Bastien, Westwood when fit, attacking we have Brownhill, Cullen/Bastien supporting, Twine, Costello.

To me, the only position we NEED to strengthen, is up front. Cornet can play there but probably not 46 games worth.

Anything else should be squad players

Experienced CB, with height.
Skillfull winger

And then a few more bodies to strengthen the squad.

I don't think we need O'Hare, we have Brownhill and Twine.

If Max leaves we need an out and out striker. Someone more mobile, and we can afford to push the boat a bit if Max is sold as well. They should be relishing playing in a team that can play like we did tonight.
Max should be relishing playing in a team like we played tonight, 🤞 it's provided a shed load of persuasion.

Wouldn’t drop Bastien.

Thought he was brilliant tonight. Won the ball so many times high up the pitch, clever movement too. He got us on the front foot so many times.

Him, Cullen and Maatsen were key tonight.
Fully agree Bastien had a good game, was involved a lot and great energy, but just needs to sort out the few stray passes he made, against better teams we'll be punished from them.

Is Long not an option at CB? I think he is, never let us down whenever he’s stepped up…

As RV says above - a pacy number 9. Although not a number 9 I shudder to think what the scoreline would have been with Cornet up front.

I doubt cornet will leave
As much as I hope you're right, Kompany said a few days ago we are not expecting him to stay

A fully fit Vydra would be like a new signing . I think he'll have a field day in this team .
