Much better that against a decent looking team, it is where we need to be. Possession isn't everything hey. Quality in the final third shown today.

Muric 8 - a good save and solid distribution bar one bad throw
Vitinho 8 - looks comfortable and feisty, great instincts to score and a good finish
Harwood-Bellis 9 - for the first time I am glad we lost Tarky, because it gives us a chance to sign this guy, he will be a top, top player and will be worth tens of millions one day, yet there remains a chance City will sell him. His quarterback style passes were something else and the way he calmly passes around the back sets us apart.
Beyer 8 - very solid
Maatsen 9 - great interchanging down that wing and a top ball for the assist
Cork 9 - in the last 3 seasons we lose very few when he plays
Cullen 8 - back at it today and another great assist to add to his tally
Brownhill 8 - grew into the game
Zaroury 9 - reminds me of Eden Hazard with a touch of Messi about him, they couldn’t handle him today, he may be a PL player if he kicks on
Tella 9 - also couldn’t be handled, too dynamic for them by far and it is a long time since we had a player like this
Rodriguez 8 - looking like a 20 goal season if he stays fit.

Gudmundsson 7 - did fine when he came on but his lack of a trick and his one foot limit him a bit

Overall, a fantastic performance of tempo, passing and power that they couldn’t handle when we stepped it up. They were on the verge of total collapse at HT and were lucky to only have 4 booked by then. We look so balanced with Vitinho and Maatsen with the ability to push either of them on, and it makes us unpredictable. We still miss that final cute ball when they are camped in but the Jay finish was one example of it from Cullen.

We will of course lose games, we have plenty of weaknesses with age being the biggest, but we look to have enough about us to win this league at a canter. We should be at least 6 points clear tonight, arguably 10, but let us not be churlish about it. They just need to keep winning now.

Muric 7 - Wasn't especially busy but handled everything he needed to competently.
Vitinho 8 - Really good show.
Maatsen 8 - Back to the early season form we saw.
Beyer 8 - Looks a fine player.
THB 8 - Looks a fine player.
Cullen 8 - Quality on the ball and always showing for it.
Cork 8 - Remember when his legs apparantly went two years ago 🤣
Brownhill 8 - Completely different player to the one we saw under Dyche.
Zaroury 8 - What a superbly struck finish.
Tella 9 - My MOM. They just couldn't handle him and two that took cards for dragging him back shouldbhave been booked for the same offence minutes earlier. The very definotion of unplayable.
Rodriguez 8

What a team performance. We were simply superb today. An absolute joy to witness.

Just a word about Jack after watching the highlights. That was one hell of a headed pass in the build up to Josh Brownhill's powerdriver which Benda did very well to save.

44 seconds on video.

Scintillating display, after a quiet first quarter. Some of the football in the second half for a 10-15 minute period was as good as i've seen in a very long while.

None more so than vitinho, consistent 9's, I couldn't believe how much of a smile on he's face he had yesterday, looked to be really enjoying his game and learning as each game goes by, definitely wouldn't have been an injustice to see him with the motm award yesterday. Both him and maatsen looked so much more comfortable in a back 4, helped out by Cullen from right to left in the early stages providing cover for both.

What a brilliant display. I was fearful after 10 mins but ultimately their desire to come out and play suited us down to the ground. We had potency from so many sources - Tella's pace, Zaroury's artistry, Jay's intelligence and Vitinho's endeavour. Even the centre halves were carrying the ball with intent yesterday.

On a different note, the concrete walkway in front of the Longside is treacherous for players in studs. It goes grass, astro turf, rubber matting (about a metre wide) and then concrete. Why isn't all the concrete covered in rubber matting? I know it's been like that for a while but multi million players/assets skating on wet concrete is an accident waiting to happen.
