Lune froze over last night, and it hasn't done that for about 14 years
So that's why Tim isn't posting on here now?

Sadly, I can't make the journey to take my seat, tomorrow, as I am in t shirt and shorts in Cyprus.
Back for Christmas, so hope it warms up.
A Merry Christmas to my fellow Clarets, surrounding me and see you after Christmas.
Come on you Clarets.
Happy Christmas Ian!

Just going off social media pictures of people in their cars. If car thermometers are to be trusted?
After both kitchen taps were frozen yesterday, I left both with a tiny dripping last night.
Both taps were frozen again and a whisky glass that was in the sink had a full block of ice in.
It's been as cold as I can remember.
Not keen on ice in my Whisky, much prefer it neat.....yep I agree QTT, it's damn cold, this old house of ours is like living in a igloo.

All unexpected issues regarding the ground and pitch have now been resolved, there has been a couple of panics in the last day or so.
So barring another uncontrollable disaster it should all go ahead fine.

The pavements are full of black ice. Hope they grit all around the Turf , be gutted if the pitch is perfect and health and safety step in and postpone.
No black ice in Burnley that I could see, which means town centre, Centenary Way, and Manchester Road / Hammerton Street. Some pavements are cleared with no ice at all, others are covered in very visible white ice.
Turf Moor area could be different?

Not trusting the weather forecast after what happened last season at home to Spurs, I’m hoping the snowfall tomorrow is not significant. I don’t want another wasted journey of 110 miles ( and I know others live far further away than me)
Current forecast (yr.no) is for no significant warming until Sunday afternoon and no significant precipitation till Sunday evening (and then it will be rain). In which case, wrap up warm tomorrow but the game will be on.

Up early for my trip to Turf Moor.
There has been a big thaw overnight up here in the Lake District, so hope the same applies in East Lancs.

Just looked out the window and doesn’t look to be any thaw. No snow yet though.

It's certainly warmer and had a bit of rain earlier this morning, which always bumps the temperature up.

It’s plus 1 degree in Lowerhouse at 8:45. A very very small amount of thawing out.
Luckily no snow.

Snowing as usual in Rochdale, battled our way over last year for the Spurs game to then park up and the game gets called off. Hopefully not as bad today by reports in Burnley of no snow.

Cars turning around due to snow or ice at the top of Snake Pass from Sheff to Manc.
4wd OK but they are blocked by everyone else. Dilemma for me now - extra 30-45 mins to detour so it may have to be the Sky red button as I can’t leave till after 11 anyway.
Not so much levelling up, they need to level the darn Pennines

It’s not the driving to Burnley that bothers me as the motorways should be fine, it’s the approach roads to the carpark and the 10 minutes walk to the ground that I’d like an update on please.

Referring to me, totally agree
Trouble was didn't get the car back till 11:30 from the missus. Phone now saying 2 hrs 15 to Burnley as there is a massive delay on Woodhead too as well as Snake. So had no choice really but to sack it off as you can bet I wouldn't have made it. Amazing what a bit of height does to rain.
Anyway, those two last minute winners I missed with the lurgy so here's hoping I bring the Clarets luck again

That's to make them run up the paths! They get back to the depot and are told..."You are back early. Here's a few more for you"
