Odd game. We clearly missed the pace of Tella. Zaroury and Vitinho. The first half was very downbeat and the atmosphere strangely subdued Boro adopted a low press and we seemed to have few clues as to how to unlock it.

Second half Benson ripped them apart.

Muric 5 - a fan but it will be interesting to how he does against Utd. He looks capable of falling apart.
Roberts 6 - steady but not the flying wing back some have alluded to on here
Maatsen 7 - good game but has the odd mistake in the locker
THB 7 - steady
Beyer 9 - outstanding today
Gudmundson 7 - steady
Benson 8 - what can you say?
Cullen 7 battled well
Cork 7 - as above
Brownhill 7 - as above
Rodriguez 6 - looks a bit isolated without the pace of Tella and Zaroury

Odd game and then the John Wayne’s outside barging around on their horses. Great turnout from Boro - noisy after their goal. Second half much better atmosphere.

Roberts 8 - he plays a really interesting role in this team, much as Guardiola had Walker playing a couple of years ago, moving into CM
Maatsen 8
THB 8
Beyer 10 - how does he play for us?
JBG 7
Benson 8
Cullen 9
Cork 8
Brownhill 7

Weird game to be honest

They had a plan that appeared to be completely reliant on us making a mistake and I don't think I've seen a team so slow to react to going behind as they were

We weren't anywhere near our best for huge parts of the match, but still comfortably good enough to do what was required

Special mention for Manuel Benson - horrible mistake for their first, but he stuck at it, and was key to us turning it around

Beyer as well, his pass out wide for the equalizer was astonishingly good and his overall play was excellent

The penalty thing was a farce, but it looked like a hand ball from the JHU and no harm done (as long as its rescinded)

Muric 6 - excellent distribution, but two flaps that didn't help, and he was wrong footed for the goal
Roberts 8 - excellent I thought, really good
THB 7 - still pretty solid, but passing a bit off and should have done better for the pen
Beyer 9* - outstanding
Maatsen 7 - did well, but I'd have liked to see a bit more from him to be honest
Benson 8 - bad mistake but huge credit for not letting it get to him and that ball for the 2nd is perfect for causing indecision in the defence
Cork 8 - would have been my MOM but for a very silly booking
Cullen 8 - quietly and efficiently doing exactly what he is there to do
Brownhill 6 - thought he was a bit quiet than normal, but still did an alright job
Gudmundsson 6 - has to do better with his chances but its so good to see a fully fit JBG back
Jay 6 - linked play well but again, fairly quiet

Nothing to fear in this division at all and we are comfortably the best team in it, but we have to keep going like we are to get what we and this team deserve

Muric 6

THB 7
Bayer 8
Maatsen 7
Cork 7

Brownhill 7
Benson 7
JayRod 6
JBG 7
Felt we played too rigidly for most of the first half. Once Roberts and Maatsen started to get into dangerous areas it created more. I assume Watmore fooled Muric that he was going the other side
Onward and upward looking so much better than typical championship teams in our last three games

From tv
Muric 6 not great taking crosses under pressure, he has to improve this part of his game
Roberts 8 thought he had one of his best games
TBH 7 another mature performance
Beyer 9 an outstanding game mom
Maatsen 7 does well getting forward
Cork 7 his usual composed self
Cullen 7 worked hard
Brownhill 7 not as effective as of late
JBG 7 should have scored, puts everything into the game
Jayrod 7 needs Wella and Zaroury to be at his best
Benson 7 first half poor, second half after they scored he changed gear and ran riot

Barnes 7 good to see he has stopped throwing himself to the ground

A game of two halves, we needed to go behind before we started playing. When we did get out of second gear we showed who really was the best team. The referee was very, very poor.

It doesn't really does it. Let's be honest - he did the goalkeeper at the near post. Generally regarded by just about everyone to be a goal keeping error.

Both goal keepers put in bizarre performances . If we had the ability to clone Nick Pope I think that it would likely have been 0-0.

It’s not an easy save. Benson has whipped it and it’s bounced right in front of him. I’d probably want my keeper to save it but take nothing away from the run and finish, there was absolutely nothing fortunate about it.

I don't know what angle you have looked at it from but it doesn't appear to bounce in front of him; rather, it goes right through him at a very comfortable height.

(freeze at 50 seconds)

Whatever your opinion the view that it was a relatively straight forward save is a reasonable.

Of course, that doesn't change the fact that Benson was brilliant in the second half and won us the game as he has on several occasions.

Benson has been pinging them in across goal all season, the keeper was waiting to dive to his far right and Benson had his pants down hitting it near post, caught him off guard.. then the second goal he was totally in two minds, near post far posts he was flapping like a sea lion at blue planet

Benson did exactly the same thing from slightly further out just a few minutes before he scored and the keeper just scooped it up.

It's not a slight on Benson, he beat his man well and got a shot on target. It was well placed, but a good goalkeeper shouldn't be beaten like that at their near post. Fortunately, he wasn't a good goalkeeper, as he reiterated on the second goal.

It's really bad goalkeeping. He's on his near post and still gets beat there by a pretty run of the mill shot.

Cannot understand how Benson's equaliser is being 'rubbished ' by a couple of contributors on here. It was a fantastic run and finish in which his pace made an opening for him that still needed a powerful finish. Lets just give some credit to our own player.

Nobody is rubbishing the goal. I said he did well to beat his man and get the shot in but that the keeper shouldn't be being beaten there. It was a fortunate equaliser but he made his own luck and deserved it. Let's not pretend it was 'fantastic' though. All 4 goals were gifts yesterday.

Poster 1: Benson made a good run but the goalkeeping was poor...!

Poster 2: Oh no I completely disagree, absolute nonsense - never heard such rubbish. It was poor goal keeping but Benson made a good run
