Muric - 7 had a decent game and did everything required
Roberts - 7 a more withdrawn role particularly in first half - solid performance
Beyer - 8 - played really well and scored the winner - I knocked a mark of for his woeful backpass which couldve cost us the match
Taylor - 7 steady from Charlie - a few excellent tackles - a few misplaced first half passes
Maatsen - 7 again - a good second half which earned him the sponsors MOM - however first half did little and was seemingly in the wrong position IMO
Cork - 6 not at the races today and failed to have his usual influence in midfield and picked up another booking and subbed at HT
Brownhill - 7 he also seemed out of sorts particularly in the first half with a few wrong turns and decisions which cost possession. He still managed that
brilliant tackle to save us after Beyer's backpass
Cullen - 7 off the pace in the first half but upped his game after HT to link neatly and keep the pressure on CC 30 yards further up the pitch in the 2nd
half
Benson - 7 although not as influential as in recent games he didnt have a bad game - tbf Coventry did a decent job keeping him in check
Zaroury - 7 again a solid performance with a couple of mesmerising runs and crosses
Rodriguez - 6 below par today although he very little support from his teammates / tactics etc especially in the first half

JBG - 7 - class act when he came on and his passing and control was good. His corner provided the assist for Beyer and if he had managed to play like
this for a full game would have warranted an 8
Tella - 7 his pace and skill helped to turn the game in our favour
Barnes - 7 - steady game and has had a positive influence on the team in recent games

Fortuitous is the best word I can use on the result, bar the last 20 minutes. For large parts we were second best and Coventry can count themselves unlucky not to get anything. The subs made a huge impact on the win.

Nah. For all Cov’s decent play in the first hour or so, I don’t think Muric had a save in the game. Ok they had the one on one, but is it fortuitous that they missed it or just poor play on their part? We had the massive Benson chance, Tella headed etc… I think we controlled the second half in the main.

Hard game to mark. Conditions were awful, especially in the first half. Sign of a good team that we stayed in the game when playing poorly, then our class showed at the end. VK once again read the game and made the required tactical changes at half time.

Muric 7 - didn't have much to do, looked assured with his feet
Roberts 8 - Outstanding in the second half
Beyer 8 - Mark off for the poor back pass. What a player this guy is
Taylor 7 - Did ok, not got THB's passing range though
Maatsen 8 - Poor for first 20 minutes then grew into the game
Cullen 8 - Our best midfielder
Cork 5 - Didn't get into the game, silly booking
Brownhill 7 - Not really sure what Josh's best position is right now, played well in the second half, was anonymous in the first.
Benson 6 - Not his day, but still looked our main threat in the first half
Zaroury 6 - Mixed bag. What I do like about him is he keeps showing for the ball when he's had an off day. Was superb in the last 20
Rodriguez 5 - Looks a yard off the pace. Surely must be carrying some kind of niggle

Gudmundsson 8 - Revelation in that position, changed the game
Tella 8 - Scared them to death. What a weapon to bring off the bench
Barnes 7 - Tempted to start him against WBA. Looks revitalised

My Boro supported mate texted me after the game saying "sign of a good side, winning without playing well", sums it up really.

Muric 7 - dealt with that cross come shot in first half very well. We know a number of keepers have not dealt with this from Bensons efforts this season. Also did really well with the sweeper / keeper role yesterday.
Roberts 7 - aside one horrendous pass in the first half he is playing really well since World Cup.
Taylor 7 - proved a couple of times that he does not have the 50 yard THB switch pass in his locker !
Beyer 8 ** - think he was the main single reason we did not go into the break behind.
Maatsen 7 - poor first half and VK was absolutely rollicking him to the point I feared he might be hooked in the first half (and may have been if Taylor would have been on the bench). Second half as his often the case at home he was like a different player. His speed and athleticism really comes into its own when the opposition are tiring.
Cullen 8 - there was a spell in the middle of the second half where he took over the middle of the park and this was a massive part of the swing in momentum of the game. I love how so many of our players seem to want to take the accountability for stepping up. They just do not like losing….or drawing !
Cork 6 - take one off for the booking and also we were not great in first half (or Coventry were great)
Brownhill 7 - part of the midfield that took back control of the game in the second half.
Benson 7 - thought after Beyer he was our best player in first half. Don’t think he did much wrong in second half either and at the time I thought it should have been Zaroury who should have gone off - proves how little I know !!
Zaroury 7 - improved as the game went on and thought he was great in last 30 minutes.
Rodriguez 6 - thought he played well but not quite at his early season form.

Gudmundsson 8 - brilliant. So pleased he is playing like he is. Before making our goal he had put in 2 fantastic crosses / runs which nearly led to goals.
Tella 7 - also brilliant. He would walk into any other team in this division and be one of their best players. Cannot believe that we have players of this quality on our bench.
Barnes 6 - did well when he came on. Wound their defence and keeper up like nobody else can but his touch and passing was also very good as we started to dominate the game.
