Re: All clear now
Claretloup, Barry will be delighted to hear that as a result of the book someone was inspired to get a test. I think there is another Barry test session at TM sometime in March.

Re: All clear now
I would like to echo all the encouragement for men to get tested . Going to the Turf in June 2019 led to a PSA test with a reading of around 5.3 which was enough to get a red warning letter. Some of you might remember me asking for advice about the whole hormone treatment/radiotherapy versus the radical prostatectomy avenues. With some fantastic encouragement from members of this forum I had an op and got my all clear in December.2019 . Now over three years down the line, my follow up calls with the urology nurse are going to 12months. My fourth grandchild is on the way in June and I wouldn't have been around to be part of the joy, if I hadn't gone to Barry KIlby's test day.
So whole hearted support for Barry's charity and encouragement to anyone just thinking about it - go on and get a test, you won't regret it !!!
If you are unsure what to do if you do get a PSA score outside normal bands , come on here and ask for advice , there will be many fellow Clarets who will
support you along the way.
Finally do remember to tell direct male off-spring as they will need to be aware of a possible raised likelihood of Prostate problems in later life.
Thanks Cirrus Minor for raising the issue of Prostate Cancer once again , its a story that keeps on needing to be told. Best wishes that all goes well with any more treatment.
