Can I just ask our fans to please please please leave the booing until the full time whistle. The players deserve our support until the 90 minutes are up.
I’ll be booing before we start. I have a right to boo and will be exercising that right.

I have a suspicion that the OP has copped a glance at PNE-online, where they have a thread about their fans. One went as far as suggesting what was written on PNE_online could weigh on the traveling fans, which gets transferred to the team and undermines its performance. It was righlty well and truly derided

Methinks CaptJohn might have spied that and thought "hmmm, how can I polish a claret equivalent?"

I honestly can't remember when we last truly had discontent on the terraces - at least in a repeated sense. And the one thing VK has alluded to is for the fans to not get carried away, thinking we're already up, when we're not. I suspect he has spies on here letting him know we expect for him to hold off on performances until at can all be unveiled at that lot's down the road' ground. I'm sure he doesn't want that kind of thinking to transfer to the team

It's Preston at home and they aren't exactly having a good season. We're flying high and expected to beat them comfortably. However it's a local derby and they will want desperately to put in a good show for their fans and get one over on us.
Let's say it's 0-0 at half time and one or two of our lot will be murmuring and becoming disgruntled.
Fast forward and it's the 70th minute and still 0-0. One of our passes goes astray and the murmuring will be come howls of discontent which feeds it's way from the stands onto the pitch and the players start to become more anxious. I think you get my drift.
The message from me is to stay patient and keep behind them. This team knows how to break teams down and will find a way.
In Vincent we trust.
Nope.

Even in games we have been 0-1 down, there’s been zero rumblings and certainly no howls of discontent.

I think everyone thinks it’s only a matter of time before we find a way thru the opposition.

I think the fans have grown in patience as the season has progressed, the ironic cheers and groans when Muric has the ball has thankfully stopped. The fans certainly wont be the issue.

Wow. The Turf has been bouncing this season. Today will be no different. Sat, 3 bells, derby, will be an awesome atmosphere. The way we play is to grind teams down and football them to death. I suspect, given their defensive low bloc it won't be a high scoring game, but we will win and the roar when it goes in will be comfortably heard in Shadsworth.

Actually there is nothing to worry about because the aliens massing at the other side of the moon will time their attack to coincide with the rioting Burnley fans attacking the directors because we are not 4-0 up after ten minutes. Thus ending the match at 0-0. Someone will then post on here that the aliens should have points deducted for having an unfair advantage. The aliens will abandon their invasion realising the human race is best left to its own devices.

I bet captain John just wants this game over and this thread to disappear. 🫣

I'm currently on the Clitheroe to Burnley bus,but after reading this I've requested that the driver turn around and take me back immediately to spare me from the heartache ahead.

I maybe deluded but the fans on here don't tend to reflect the fans on Turf.

I think largely speaking after 7 years of losing more games than we won and often having 40 per cent or less possession the patience of the fanbase was pretty good.

I thought the fans were really good when we went down in the Coyle year and also in Dyche's first relegation year.

This season it is better than I've ever known it albeit if you can't enjoy the footballing aspect of being a Burnley fan at this moment in time you may as well find something else to be passionate about.

On here? Well it's a different story....

I've just looked at the home and away tables. Preston are 23rd at home and 3rd away. They've conceded 1 less goal than us away from home, so we know what we're facing patience is the key.

Maybe, as a tribute to the insights of CaptJohn we can get the CFS to belt out a special rendition of "" Our Support is F*cking Sh1t"" during the pre-match warm up?

The natives were really starting to get restless at 2-0 and I was fearing chants of ‘sacked in the morning’, but fortunately Tella fired home the third to give Kompany a stay of execution.

I would like to thank CaptJohn for lighting the fuse under the CFS and firing them up for the wonderful support today.

I haven't seen any close up photos to confirm, but apparently our players were wearing earplugs to protect them from the fans.
