Irrespective of whether someone has just saved a fiver, (compared to me booking yesterday), or whether they saved a shedload of money because they bought a dozen or so tickets, there needs to be a serious investigation into this and a full explanation given.
How on earth could this happen unless someone with access to the system changed it?
So this raises a lot of issues.
Just imagine if we were suddenly given a 33% discount on our season tickets, due to an "error" like this.

I bought a ticket today at 10:37 and paid full price. The Cod Army, according to their website are still being charged £15? Maybe just an error
Clearly an error - everyone was being given a £5 per ticket discount.

I suspect that we may well be in some serious breach of FA rules here if we have sold some tickets at a discounted price, (albeit inadvertently perhaps), whilst all Fleetwood tickets are at the full price.
Maybe we will have to offer all Fleetwood fans a partial refund to avoid consequences??

And all home supporters - not sure on the rules but I suspect there is every chance they've breached them.

By chance, I logged in at about 8.30 this evening and bought four tickets (2 adult 2 children) for £20. I didn't know anything about the price changes, just that I was presented with the ticket prices as they were and thought it was a bit of a bargain.
Whose clarets number did you use?

Think it might be best for the Mods to shut down this thread as if someone from the FA sees it we might get chucked out the FA Cup

Still showing £15 for me, that's in the Cricketfield, surprised I can buy my seat. thought Fleetwood would get the whole stand.

Why would Fleetwood get the whole stand?

So if the coop cut the price of their spiced rum tomorrow, I should barge in and demand cashback because I bought some at full price on New Years Eve?
It was opened up the previous day, at the stated prices. One day later, a huge, unannounced reduction, is clearly an error in the system or worse.

I've bought a couple of tickets just in case I'm oop North on the day.

15 quid seemed decent to me, and I honestly could not give a shiney sh1te what anyone else paid. Must be me I guess.

Stupid comparison
Why? A business finds sales of a product falling short of its expectations so offers a price reduction in an effort to reduce/clear the excess stock; indeed BFC's discounting tickets makes even more sense than the supermarket reducing the price of spiced rum: the rum's got a long shelf live, so other than the problem of having your capital tied-up while it sits in the warehouse, you could let it sit there until next New Year and clear it then at the usual or perhaps even a higher price; Burnley v Fleetwood tickets have a far shorter shelf-life so have to be cleared on/before 1st March; additionally, every extra ticket BFC can sell (at any price!) generates one more bum on a seat that you can potentially sell a pie/pint/hot-bene to.

It's called 'economics' and happens a lot in the grown up world.

Not within 24hrs of going on sale then returning to the original price less than six hrs later

Presume as per Agent Claret this was a pricing error ? Surely we’d have no issues at all selling out at these prices , don’t think I’ve ever seen tickets reduced “ sale “ style . Just paid £15 adult and £5 u18 which seems a fantastic price all round tbh .

Aren’t we required to give 25% (ish) for cup ties ? Granted Fleetwood are a tiny club but 5th rd FA CUP “ against “ local “ opposition surely they want the full stand ??

Fair enough , though for some reason presumed we’d give them the whole end . Though with the CFS not being a total away end I guess it figures . Big clubs would be seething I’d imagine .

If Sheffield Wednesday had beaten Fleetwood then I’m sure they’d have got the whole cricket field stand or close to all of it.

But you, nor I were aware that it was 'a mistake' when we made our comments. That said, our debate was with regard to businesses discounting to clear stock, so the points made remain valid.

yours faithfully, Patronising Richard Head

PS: Almost fifty years ago when I first started work i was introduced to a new colleague with the words: "and this is Richard, Richard Head; don't even think about abbreviating his name." Richard's parents really hadn't thought that one through.
