Bournemouth upwards looking pretty safe now. I expect to see the current bottom three drop now, but Everton and Leeds with still a lot of work to do.ElectroClaret wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 5:43 pmIts a poor result for Everton given the way Bournemouth and Palace are edging towards safety.

City 2 Leicester 0, Stones and Haaland, the bad news for Leicester is there is still 70 minutes to play.

Unfortunately, watching all that horseflesh will probably inspire Rovers tonight.
Lets hope Hull have a plan....

This could become embarrassing for Leicester. at least we kept it 0-0 for half an hour.

3-1 Foxes fightback.
Re: Today's Football
I wonder what Kalvin Phillips intends to do with his career. Nowhere near the City starting line up.

Rovers love that through ball between the full back and centre half. Huddersfield couldn’t cope with it and Hull looking susceptible to it so far.
Re: Today's Football
Teams trying to play out from the back are light years behind us,Hull ,and Bastards are like a pair of 2nd rate pub teams.

For £150k a week, he'll sit there until next season, which is when I suspect he'll have to be fit so Pep can start integrating him into the team properly.
It does appear that some players need a season to settle into Man city and Peps style, almost like they need to be "Pep fit"

Rovers may well pinch this, but this game is poor.

Hull looked to have unearthed another gem in Harry Vaughan.
Re: Today's Football
Hull are giving Rovers a real game here.
I know it’s fashionable to declare every Championship game as a poor spectacle, but I’m enjoying the football in this one.

The biggest positive is if this lot go up through the playoffs they will get eaten alive .

Surprised Hull haven’t brought on the lad they’ve got on loan from Palace. Thought he looked good against us.

Somehow Rovers remain in the top 6, despite not winning most weeks for the last 4 months.

Rovers have to play 5 teams in the top 7.
Re: Today's Football
They’re playing some of the teams around them in the next few games so they’ll definitely be out of the top six should they lose. Their cushion has gone now, five teams three points or less off them.agreenwood wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 9:42 pmSomehow Rovers remain in the top 6, despite not winning most weeks for the last 4 months.

They obviously know that a total of 28 goals was a popular pick on the Championship Prediction game this weekendConroysleftfoot wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 9:22 pmDon't the Rovers players know they are allowed to shoot.

Re: Today's Football
Those 2 points dropped by Rovers suddenly make the battle to finish top 6 rather interesting, only 4 points between 6th and 12th now,

Re: Today's Football
Yes, they might not get many points for the rest of the season. By the same token, they might end up well clear of 7th. At least it is in their own hands and they can't blame anyone else for bottling it.
Anyone remember our run of games just around the WC break? Think it included, Blackburn, Sheff U, Middlesbrough, Coventry, QPR, Norwich who were all on good runs and around us....we all know what happened.
Re: Today's Football
Given their current form I’d be very worried if I were them.JimmyRobbo wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 9:51 pmYes, they might not get many points for the rest of the season. Re: Today's Football
Absolutely.
Winners find a way of getting through it.
I think AGreenwood said something similar earlier; strange how they're still in the playoff picture despite not having put together many noticeably good results since Christmas.
Be great if we hand them a trouncing to shatter their confidence. I'd take a point to keep our runs going (undefeated this year and v BRFC).
