The big consolation I'd be taking from this if I was a Rovers fan is that it can't get any worse

Nothing will ever beat Burnley winning the championship at Ewood, and both they and us know it (of course, them winning the championship at the Turf would count for them)

But because of both our cup runs and the Winter World Cup that combination of fixtures is a very unlikely occurrence I'd have thought

I love the fact that they’re trying to convince themselves they’ve come on in leaps and bounds since the match at the Turf just because they were actually in the game this time. They seem to forget that they came to the Turf after 20 games of the season just two points behind us and on Tuesday after 43 games of the season we went there a mere 27 points ahead. They’re so much better than they were in November but we’ve still pulled away by more than a point a game since!
