I hated listening to my dad's Nina Simone albums as a kid, but now, just wow.
"Sinnerman" a classic

Its use in the "Thomas Crown Affair" remake with Pierce Brosnan brought her music to billions

Gary Glitter.
“Rock and Roll Christmas” is one of the best Christmas songs ever.
This…. And because he’s a nonce we’re not allowed to listen to it but it definitely the best upbeat Xmas song ever

Tchaikovsky. Not a band or a singer, I know, but my dad listened to his stuff on the stereo all the time when I was a kid and I hated it. Now I listen to his stuff from time to time, especially the 4th, 5th and 6th symphonies (which were my dad's favourites!) that have so much emotion written into them!

Bob Dylan. Like listening to a kazoo stuck in a moped's exhaust pipe

Quite liked a blast of "Leader of the Gang" but are we allowed to mention GG on here?
