Why? Sheff U have zero points.

If that's what you call a meltdown even just popping to the shop must be a rollercoaster of emotion for you.BleedingClaret wrote: ↑Fri Aug 18, 2023 9:13 pmUTC meltdown cos Hamer has bagged 1 goal against Nott’m Forest

Re: Forest v Sheff United
Football stats are great aren't they?
That Aurier bloke has only ever had 2 assists in one other game in his career (approx 400 games over 12 years), and that was also against Sheffield United.
It's so unlikely, and yet.

Re: Forest v Sheff United
But Forest have three.
Would have been far better for both teams to have one point after two matches than one of our rivals to have three.

Hamer will get smashed in the prem. So glad we did not get him. He’s a decent Championship player at best. Berge is class and we have another special player

Re: Forest v Sheff United
Predictable result with forest just edging it with home advantage & slightly more top flight experience & better quality of players, both will be in & around the mix but like this result forest look likely to have just enough if you had to pick between the 2 in any crunch decider.

Re: Forest v Sheff United
You'll have to explain when fairness comes into it in this league, you don't take your chances when presented it matters little despite possession or any other stats, the PL isn't considered 1 if not the best league in Europe for no reason. Pardon the pun a lack of sharpness in the final third will blunt any blade.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Fri Aug 18, 2023 10:45 pmharsh on Sheff Utd, better side for a good chunk of that game

I think Sheff U were the better of the teams. I also think we would beat both of them. So that's nice.

Re: Forest v Sheff United
Completely different challenge for him this year, as it is for our last years new players and our summer signings but a goal against Forest doesn’t mean we’ve missed a gemAGENT_CLARET wrote: ↑Fri Aug 18, 2023 9:18 pmAnd the way he played last season has got nothing to do with it

Yes.nil_desperandum wrote: ↑Fri Aug 18, 2023 10:20 pmBHA likely to challenge for Europe again. Is that what you meant by rivals?
(Think Fulham will be a bit short of that but should do ok)

Re: Forest v Sheff United
Absolute nonsense on Alan Pace's part not to push £20 mill in to the soft gloves of Coventry for Hamer.
Instead we are wasting time on nobodys like Maatsen, Tella et al. Hamer is pure quality and would have got us CL place on his own. It's obvious to any blind man on a galloping frog that this young lad is Premiership ready.
It really beggars belief and Mr Pace and Vinnie needs to give their heads a wobble. I don't know what is going on at our club!!!!???
(That kind of thing you mean?)

The only results that (should) matter to us are our own.
And we have 19 rivals, you can't expect or hope for them all to draw every game

Re: Forest v Sheff United
Not really.
He’s remembered fondly by some, and with disdain by others, and rightly so imho. I’m firmly entrenched in both camps.
Did a decent job for us for quite some time, but then got bored, lost interest and ended up “stealing” a wage.
Scored a good goal last night, reminiscent of his early time with us. I just hope his time at forest is more reminiscent of his final 6-9 months with us. That’ll be one less team to worry about come the end of the season.

Forest announced their gambling shirt sponsor ahead of tonight’s game:
