Check out the detritus building up in and behind the goal line where the stewards can't quickly get it cleaned up. Not a peep out of the commentators. It all appears to be scrunched up paper but I guess we won't know until one hits the mark.

No, just that there’s a difference between throwing lighters at players heads and throwing paper onto the pitch.

Everything being thrown at Spurs is aimed at a player, not the pitch. I wonder if anything slightly heavier than you'd expect is wrapped up in any of the 100 or so paper balls that have been thrown on so far?

Scrunched paper can conceal lots of hard items it would be very easy to wrap a stone in the paper & launch that.

Not a word about any of that during the commentary (this is just the bit the stewards aren't able to quickly clean up - it was happening all the way across the stand). Imagine what would happen if the bottom 5 rows of the CFS lobbed detritus as Spurs players all game when we play them...

We sang YNWA at Wembley in 88 too, and also way back in the early 1970’s as well, the same as about two dozen other clubs who had it as part of their repertoire. It wasn’t offensive to anybody though, or distasteful when younger fans are in earshot.

50% of Burnley songs or even football songs are offensive and meant to shock.

Seems like YNWA was quite unlucky for Burnley. All the relegations since you sung it and the only Wembley loss of my lifetime.
