We were heavily criticised for one fan throwing stuff when spurs have several fans throwing stuff. Hope they get the same grief.

Although probably important to distinguish between a lighter being thrown at a players head and a paper aeroplane being thrown onto the pitch.

Lots being thrown on whenever Utd players get near the corner flags. Or the goal line. Check out the detritus building up in and behind the goal line where the stewards can't quickly get it cleaned up. Not a peep out of the commentators. It all appears to be scrunched up paper but I guess we won't know until one hits the mark.

Are we saying it's ok to throw stuff at players as long as it won't hurt them if it hits?

No, just that there’s a difference between throwing lighters at players heads and throwing paper onto the pitch.

Everything being thrown at Spurs is aimed at a player, not the pitch. I wonder if anything slightly heavier than you'd expect is wrapped up in any of the 100 or so paper balls that have been thrown on so far?

When does it go from being OK to not OK?

Are plastic glasses OK to throw at players?

It’s not ok to throw anything at players, obviously.

Scrunched paper can conceal lots of hard items it would be very easy to wrap a stone in the paper & launch that.

It wouldn’t surprise me if there were hand grenades concealed in some of that scrunched up paper.

What's in the blue thing that just got lobbed at the keeper?

Not a word about any of that during the commentary (this is just the bit the stewards aren't able to quickly clean up - it was happening all the way across the stand). Imagine what would happen if the bottom 5 rows of the CFS lobbed detritus as Spurs players all game when we play them...

Clearly, further evidence of the deep- rooted and pernicious vendetta being pursued by the EPL, PGMOL, Sky and MOTD against Burnley.

"A person is guilty of a littering if they throw down, drop or otherwise deposit, and then leave, any litter in any open air place, including private land and land covered by water."

Littering is a criminal offence.
Just saying.

We sang YNWA at Wembley in 88 too, and also way back in the early 1970’s as well, the same as about two dozen other clubs who had it as part of their repertoire. It wasn’t offensive to anybody though, or distasteful when younger fans are in earshot.
50% of Burnley songs or even football songs are offensive and meant to shock.

Seems like YNWA was quite unlucky for Burnley. All the relegations since you sung it and the only Wembley loss of my lifetime.
Glad someone seen sense and dumped it.

I would have thought the cringeworthy song we sing about Rovers is more offensive. Implying the males are all illegitimate?
Certainly a case of Pot, Kettle and Black when one reads the detailed escapades of certain posters in the Keirby Closing Down thread.

I know a bloke who has a box at Bloomfield road and he got caught singing it last Saturday against Orient. He found out yesterday that Coutts bank was closing down his bank account with them and he's been warned that he's unlikely to be accepted at most other high street banks.
