Wow Im so poorly, not been to work today and been in bed all day first time iv looked on my phone since 6am.
Shivering, freezing cold but burning up and sweating, being sick, aching all over, headache

The bed sheets are soaked.

I've not got flu but I've been bad now for over a week with horrible cold symptoms and had nights struggling to get to sleep because of the coughing

i've had a chest infection for 9 weeks now, 3 lots of antibiotics, chest x-rays, doctors have ran out of suggestions and just fob me off.
really struggling with it
Try nasal steroids. I had them prescribed to me (mometasone) I had something similar. They took a few days to kick in and they didn't make it go away fully but they made it bearable.

If you stay in bed all day, you won't get run over either
Or you can get out of bed & before crossing the road you stop & look left & right & if it's clear you can proceed. Everything you do in life you take risks you calculate them risks & mitigate.

It was about eight weeks for me all told, but still not 100%. Just about stopped coughing every morning now though.

Nightmare, I hope I can shift it soon, my ribs feel like they are broken and I've pulled a muscle in my neck, hope you emerge soon and get back to normal.

Finally started to feel ok today just got a bad cough and very breathless but not really poorly no more. Back at work tomorrow.
That was a nasty bug whatever it was. Wiped me out clean since Monday.

To help prevent mucus from blocking the airways and lungs I always take NAC (N-acetylcysteine) which is a powerful Amino Acid used in hospitals as a mucolytic agent. However, this is widely available to the general public and can be purchased in most good health food stores on online. One capsule a day on an empty stomach 2 hours after food.
