Yeah Chris Pearce was certainly very good that night.
He was regarded as a bit of a clown at the club, but he was certainly loved by the younger supporters.
Clubs we have always took good followings to

I was in the Northampton end incognito for that game. Burnley were chanting about Blackburn going down and all the home fans were convinced Burnley were chanting at them because they were already down. Needless to say they were not best pleased with the Burnley fans on that day.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 8:15 pmI remember being at Northampton on what was our last ever visit in 1999. It was the final day of the season and we’d nothing to play for.
Then the away end erupted with news of Nottingham Forest scoring at Ewood, going on to win and all but condemning Blackburn to relegation.

Loved probably because of his dancing and general clowning around.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 5:34 pmYeah Chris Pearce was certainly very good that night.

Absolutely outstanding that day at Bradford City - not so much in the next round when he conceded six. But that performance was what probably won him a deal at Bradford City when he left us a year later.
