The likes of AC/DC thunderstruck etc are great if somewhat overused cliched walk out tunes . Though the blasting out the music until the literal “second” of K.O like we did last season was bizzare and totally destroys that final 15-20secs anticipation build up .

Though truth be told nobody really gives a sh1t .

Was only ever Simply the Best then Jump (and possibly Tubthumpin?) as far as I recall

Tom Hark was always the goal music
Was in between simply the best and jump. Jump came because of Chris Waddle in 97/98 so logic would be that we wasnt playing simply the best when we were relegated from division one in 1994/95 & poor during 95/96 & 96/97. Tubthumping came in 98 along with stan..... I think

I've always thought We Come One by Faithless would be great just before they walk out accompanied with a well edited video on the screen. Times Like These..as good as it is..is becoming tired now in my opinion.

Tom Hark was the walk out music in the early 90s then it shifted to what they played when we won, then goal music when we wanted to be as tin pot as possible.

We could go classical:

Prokofiev's Montagues and Capulets from Romeo and Juliet (theme tune for The Apprentice)
or
Carmina Burana, Quam Fortuna by Carl Orff.

Both rousing and intimidating.

Nice to hear not everyone on here is in the 'oooh rock music is awful it hurts my ears' camp!

Good shout this.. (or 2 minutes to midnight) although it only really works if you are trying to make it hostile and the team are actually winning, unlike last season when welcome to the jungle was a bit ironic

I know it’s absolutely iconic because of the Chicago Bulls and I know that people think it’s too dated, but I think it would be absolutely fantastic.

Was a blast from the past - great energy - although I was on the game with my mum and daughter so did have a second to think “is this ok?”. Then I decided it was fine in the 90’s so it’s still fine today

There was a fella near the stairwell handing out Gary's, 3 for a tenner just before the drop.

Have to doff your cap to Pace and Co, they're really on point with their monetising efforts.

Imagine explaining to Mr. Pace about 1) Who Gary Ablett was, 2) Cockney rhyming slang, 3) how it feels for the first time to a man who’s never even had a cup of coffee

For me I'd like "Liquidator" by Harry J Allstars. I know we'd be copying Chelsea but I was sold on it when we won there in the League cup way back when.

I was a bit conservative with my timings yesterday and ended up in the ground a good 20 minutes before kick off. I thought the pre-match build up was great. The Times Like These video seemed to have been edited and improved, and the ‘Our Town(?)’ video is quite rousing. The sound system seems to have been replaced or improved as the quality was much better. I thought Breathe was also a great choice for a walk out track, and this was helped by not having to play the Premier League ‘anthem’. Overall a big improvement.

What a band. So many of their songs have that build up and crescendo that would be fitting for a walk on. Breakin & Cessation which are lesser known would be incredible.

Did you go to any of the reunion gigs in 2022 Babylon?

How about Echoes by Pink Floyd,it's a magnificent piece of music but it would have to be a long walk out as it's 23 minutes and 23 seconds long,or maybe a snippet of it instrumental music would be my preference I have always loved Newcastles walk out music Local Hero by Mark Knopfler

The walk-out music yesterday was appalling. - no historic relevance, as rousing as machine noise and totally killed the atmosphere that had been building nicely. Whether you like the track or not, it was played at a volume that drowned out any crowd noise or chanting . No wonder it all went flat as we kicked off

What was that music at the end of the game about.
Totally spoiled the enjoyment of a win and us appreciating the players.
The crowd were singing when it came on and that stopped.
Can we get rid of that please, and enjoy our result.

Breathe was a great choice, proper boom gnarly tune. It was far too loud though and went on far too long.

Need to sack off freed from desire though, proper tinpot. And the announcer fella, absolute boonik he is.
