I've had a cursory glance through the board and I don't see a 'Rodriguez' thread, so I'm still awaiting your direction.

My advice - if you feel that bad about this product shop elsewhere. Always happy to helpdougcollins wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 8:39 pmI've had a cursory glance through the board and I don't see a 'Rodriguez' thread, so I'm still awaiting your direction.

Re: Weghorst and Amdouni
I’d get rid of Weghorst and keep Amdouni but I have a horrible feeling it will be the other way around. Zeki just didn’t look happy at the final whistle. The next couple of weeks could be a living nightmare.

Re: Weghorst and Amdouni
Foster starting to show he is a power horse of a forward. He is hard to stop when on a run, and am looking forward to Berge staying and also providing these runs from midfield . Think you will see Foster develop into this team-he looks like a great team player too-jut look at his reaction when one of our guys score

Amdouni reminded me of a 'Robbie Blake type' when he hit that shot today. I think he's still developing.

Yep, I've heard Amdouni often has a face like a smacked arse but is actually a very chilled and happy person. In contrast you have JBG who often looks chirpy and is smiling but is know to be a constant moaner

Re: Weghorst and Amdouni
My girlfriend is an Ajax fan and while she doesn't pretend to be in the know, thinks this would be a strange signing even if Brobbey were to leave. They tend to play a front three with a single focal point and already have Akpom on the bench. They're also not in the business of shelling out fees for players in their thirties. She also thinks he's a wDark Cloud wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 7:44 pmI'm 90% he'll sign for Ajax this week and he and everyone else will just move on.

"Slog through the muck and nettles of the Championship" is fantastic. May have to use that at work next week... although in deepest darkest Pennsylvania I may get some puzzled looks lolElectroClaret wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 7:51 amWouldn't be a bad pairing, but depends if WW has the
mindset to slog through the muck-and-nettles of the Championship in the depths of an English winter.
(Amdouni too, for that matter.)
I have serious doubts whether both will be involved
long term.

Re: Weghorst and Amdouni
Strange coincidence, but a couple of weeks ago I was on holiday in Italy and ended up spending a day with a bloke and his Mrs from Amsterdam who were Ajax season ticket holders. He said they'd love to have Wout and was convinced that's where he was heading.scrambledclaret wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2024 4:05 pmMy girlfriend is an Ajax fan and while she doesn't pretend to be in the know, thinks this would be a strange signing even if Brobbey were to leave. Interesting! My girlfriend's parents are still season ticket holders but last I heard they were walking in the Yorkshire Dales, not swanning around ItalyDark Cloud wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2024 9:35 pmStrange coincidence, but a couple of weeks ago I was on holiday in Italy and ended up spending a day with a bloke and his Mrs from Amsterdam who were Ajax season ticket holders. He could well be a decent addition for them. They've got a load of young, talented players and could do with a bit more experience. I actually thought Henderson might prove to be an astute signing for them but he hasn't quite had the impact they'd hoped for. Anyway, I'd find it quite amusing if Wout did end up there and it's time the saga was resolved one way or another

Re: Weghorst and Amdouni
At this level, Amdouni is as good as Jay was years ago
Would be sad to see him go as he would be an excellent player behind Foster or whoever
