Not quite as confident after the developments in the last 24 hours. Probably not a great time to be playing them right at the end of the transfer window.

Are the Rovers fans being made to come on coaches or has this daft arrangement finally been put to bed?
No longer a “bubble match”. They can make their own way to the ground

No finer sight in this fixture than Ashley Barnes in the Claret and Blue on The Turf...giving the B****ds plenty of elbow and studs.

If Zaroury, JBG, Benson and the rest leave I'll be getting more worried about this game, we can't be bedding so many new players in for debuts against our rivals

No worries at all. It’s a good time for them to play us tbh but we will finish above them regardless
Or maybe it will a bad time for them to play us? We may even improve over the next two games.

Zaroury has only been on as a sub, Benson hasn't played since God knows when and JBG was a sub. What is there to be worried about? Of course, we may lose to them, but last season's side could have done on the day. For the record, I think we'll beat them easily.

We could.be going in to next week with Vitinho, Koleosho and Agyei as our only wingers, one isn't even a winger!
Seriously worrying when considering the amount of options we had there last season.
Benson and Zaroury have been mismanaged by VK both should have been given more opportunities

Alf Ramsey won the World Cup without wingers. SP will be up to speed with outgoings and will have devised a system to win the match.

The question is will they actually manage a goal against us. It’s been a long time. Long May it continue

Their thirty-whatever year stretch against us rankled with me. But our fourteen year stretch is qualitatively better, and (for me) was worth the wait. Ten years without conceding over five competitive wins is a wonderful stat, and I hope it continues through this season. Our last six consecutive victories equal their longest winning run against us - which was when they were bankrolled by their first sugar daddy. Beat them at the end of the month and ours will be the longest winning streak between the teams. Nearly eleven years and six competitive games since we dropped a point to them. :)

Hopefully our team in the derby next Saturday will bear no resemblance to this rag tag outfit that’s been cobbled together today, or the Turds 💩 won’t have to wait much longer to turn the tables.

I can see it now at full time the Turf in uproar at Alan Pace after defeat instant karma for winning the league at their place and their fans goading us 🫣

The Rovers game on Saturday is about as appealing as a bee sting on my bum.

Then we have a break to get used to the new squad of uninspiring signings whilst lamenting those departed players who would surely have stormed us to the League title once again.

Had to log in just to laugh at "Turf in uproar"
We won our first home game of the season the other week and the ground was still half empty at the final whistle, as usual.
If we are heading to defeat on Saturday the ground will be almost empty, apart from the away end, by the end.

I still think we will win, anyway.

What are you basing that on, apart from blind faith? With our current squad and rumoured outgoings i'd make them favourites.

A song from Marlene for Mr Pace:
Where have all your payers gone
long time passing
Where have all your players gone
long time ago
Where have all your players gone
gone to other clubs everyone
When will you ever learn
when will; you ever learn.

The last time I felt this impending doom was when Jackson appointed Bond. God help us.

They’re 3/1 to win compared to odds on, 4/5 for us.

One thing I am not that keen on is that they will have an extra day to recover from their cup game. Being an early kick off on Saturday also goes in their favour.

However despite all the shenanigans off the field I am still looking forward to this one. UTC

Really long shot I know anyone got a ticket spare for the Blackburn game if someone can’t make it for any reason? I did say it was very unlikely but said I’d ask for a friend. Cheers
