The Rugby club is apparently packed too
Only really knew Nigel through Sue but I know enough to know he'll be trying to get a Taxi there from Heaven
And that he'd be the last to leave

A sad day. I only knew him by sight - he was 3 years above me at Walton High School but one of the faces that I always saw at games. In the real dark days of the mid 80s and the depths of the 4th divison he used to sit behind me in the Cricket Field stand, back in the day when there were so few you were almost on first name terms with them all. And up to the present day, every away game I get to I used to see Nigel there, or Knock Off as he was christened by another great Claret sadly no longer with us, Beeky.

Glad to hear there was a great turnout for him today. RIP Knock Off.

I wasn’t able to go to the rugby club but pleased I was able to get there this morning to pay my respects.

What CT said. Massive turnout at the Crematorium - not everyone could get in.
Belvedere was very full too.

A great turnout to celebrate the life of a cracking fella.
RIP Nidge.

Has anyone got any contact details for nigels family ?
A good friend was over from belfast at weekend and when his dad passed away last year Nigel sent a letter to his mum , nigel and 'belfast billy' had been good friends for years and would always meet up when billy was over. My mate didnt know that nigel had passed away and would like to contact his family.
thanks in advance

Try Leisure - I'm sure Nidge's partner Sue travels with Accy Clarets.

There was a thread on here Tuesday 'Gone but not forgotten' about Nigel. I presume from his partner or family member/someone close?
