Hold my hands up looked at the wrong column the points were 88 not goals.
Yes we looked like scoring yesterday, had 3 good chances at Oxford, had a sitter missed against Hull, lost count of how many yesterday we should have scored.
We could have won 6-0 yesterday and QPR had no complaints.
Just because Parker doesn't come out with the silly statements VK did doesn't mean it doesn't need time to click, if we play like Saturday every game then we'll win the league
I must have a watched a different game if we looked like scoring 6. Cook and Clarke Salter won absolutely everything in the box and I don’t remember their keeper having to pull any save of note off. Bar Roberts hitting the bar and having one blocked did we create anything of note.
I’ve no issue with it taking time to click. We just look devoid of ideas and teams are more than happy to sit in and ask us to break them down (QPR, Oxford, Portsmouth off the top of my head). However you look at that 5 points from 9 against those 3 is concerning considering we played the 2 bottom sides in the league at home.
There’s going to be bumps in the road but since Cardiff we’ve gone from a free flowing attacking side to one who struggles to muster any chance of note.

That free flowing attacking side lost most of its goalscorers and assist making players after the Cardiff game, could that possibly explain it?

Definitely in, because he’s a good manager. I actually really enjoyed the game on Saturday as I could see the improvements made by the players across the pitch. We battered them and on another day it could have easily been 5-0

Out of the three who played up front against Luton we’ve only sold Odobert. Foster injured but comes back in you’d presume. Midfield 2 of brownhill and Cullen exactly the same. And we’ve only lost O’Shea from the back 4. So we’ve not necessarily lost all of our goalscorers there have we?
So in terms of the attacking players who played at the start of the season who has gone? We’ve just become a side who passes it for the sake of passing it and teams have cottoned on to that. We’ve still got some of the best attacking players in the league but persist with letting sides get back into position before we try and attack. We’ve got to start having a real go at sides instead of this conservative keep the ball football

Passing it for the sake of passing it, isn't a Burnley thing or a Scott Parker thing. It is the current fashion, played by 80% or more of football teams. Based on, why keep losing possession when we are under little or no pressure. Keep the ball until you can create a goalscoring opportunity. Some individuals and some teams are better at it than others. Those that aren't as good are constantly trying to improve, as it is seen as the best way to play.
Unfortunately for fans it is only good when it is successful, frustrating when we don't win.
Similar to how players improve when they don't play. Other styles are preferred when we don't win. Or when there is a 'bump in the road'.

Odobert, amdouni oshea, vitinho, jbg all scored in those first two games, and also created assists, maybe someone else I've missed

3 out of the 4 goals scored against Luton were by players no longer at the club. 2 out of the 4 scored against Cardiff (not counting the calamitous own goal) were scored by players no longer at the club along with Vitinho who provided the defence splitting pass for Brownhill to run through and score.
The simple fact is that Burnley do not currently have a striker on the books capable of scoring 20+ goals at this level.

After last season people were singing praises of Edwards at Luton.
Now maybe its me but i will take Parker over Edwards any day and our current league positions too

I'd LOVE to know what match you were watching??
Clearly not the bore-fest on the Turf.
He watched the same game I did.

In...100%
Not his fault we're minus a quality striker...and I'm sure that'll be rectified in January.
He's cleared the deadwood, got the rest fully bought in and got us 2nd after 11 games....and improving by the week.
Decent cf in January and we p1ss this division.

I honestly think Saturdays performance was much better than Cardiff at home who I thought were very good for the first 45 then capitulated.
Anthony and Roberts had last ditch tackles to stop goals Saturday, we hot the bar, Humphreys missed a sitter from 7 yards out free header, Laurent had a good chance from a corner, a couple more headers from corners in the second half which goes against your comment that QPR won everything in the box because we had at least 3 headers we could have scored from

Agreed-if we can stay in the running until the new year
