Trafford - 7 not much to do in terms of shot stopping, bar the stop one one one in the second half, but thought he was good with the ball and he’s increasingly becoming stronger under the high ball.
Roberts - 7 - did okay, nothing more, nothing less.
Egan-Riley - 8 - would have been a 9 except for that error with the header leading to their one on one. Growing into a key player and I reckon he’s a genuine leader in the making.
Esteve - 8 - God, please can you keep all Prem teams away from him in January, unless someone is willing to stump up £30 million quid!
Lucas Pires - 7 - had a good game but lost his way once Yu came on. Definitely the right call hooking him when Parker did!
Cullen - 8 - he is very capable at this level, just a shame he’s not a bit more athletic, especially when it comes to playing at the highest level.
Brownhill - 8 - again, another player who excels at this level. He’s generally okay at everything without being exceptional in any particular area of his game. Vital we keep him for the remainder of the promotion push.
Hannibal - 7 - good energy, powerful running, has a knack of winding up the opponents including the crowd, but he is hot headed and hasn’t offered much in an attacking sense yet. Definitely one who will benefit from playing regular football at this level.
Koleosho - 6 - did well for the goal, he is still very raw although with a very high ceiling development wise. I wish he would take the fullback on more often, because his constant cutting back inside is becoming predictable causing him to run into traffic.
Anthony - 9 - MOM for me, I thought he was quality and a constant problem for their defence! Made the right choice more often than not and looking forward to seeing him play over the coming weeks!
Jay - 8 - delighted for him, and showed his class at this level. He is an intelligent footballer, knows where the goal is, and he links play well. No doubt we will be looking for a striker in January, but for me, Jay should be starting more often than Foster, who has been poor or absent far too much now in my opinion.

Sarmiento - 6
Egan - 6
Humphreys - 7
Laurent - 6
Hannibal - 6

Awful conditions but I thought we played well in the first half and the first 15 minutes of the second half was the best we've played for a while.

In total control for the most part. Despite turning over possession in the last 30 minutes we never really looked like conceding.

Much better.

but let's not fool ourselves, this wasn't a great performance.
Surprising. I thought the first 60-65 minutes was one of the best performances we've put in this season.

"Excellent three points in difficult conditions, but let's not fool ourselves, this wasn't a great performance."

Interesting. I thought we played well, they had a go last 20 minutes but even then I didn't think we looked like conceding. Had we put our good chances away we'd have won 3/4 - 0

My neice's husband is a Bristol City fan - his comment to me was "men against boys" - he thought we were head and shoulders above anyone they've played so far this season. Maybe our expectations are too high? They've won at Boro, beaten Millwall, drawn against Leeds and only lost to Sheff Utd in a crazy extra time. They're no mugs and, in his words, "we battered them". The VK season of rolling over just about everyone with ease was very much a one off.

""Best side we've played this season, by a country mile""

To quote my Bristol supporting nearest neighbour.

I've had similar from a friend of mine who supports them
