Re: Flemming's Goal
Vince Overson v Wimbledon 1981. We kicked off after conceding and Vince walloped one past Dave Beasant the difference was that the ball only went about three feet off the deck.

Re: Flemming's Goal
One of their defenders had his back to the game. Looks like we just took the initiative and played the ball earlier than they anticipated.aggi wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2024 7:54 pmIt was a great hit but the Norwich defending was comically bad.

Re: Flemming's Goal
That lad who was closest to it for them definitely didn't fancy getting a block in. To be fair, you wouldn't want to be in the way of that.

Re: Flemming's Goal
As good a strike as it was, I'd be disappointed if Trafford let that goal in.
That said if Flemming has got that shooting ability in his locker then it's more evidence ro suggest he'd be better in a deeper role where he's more likely to get those long range opportunities.

"Eat my goal"
"He must have a foot like a traction engine"
"Tw*t, that was liquid football"
"Striker !"
For Brownhill:
"Bing, bang, stick it in, thank you and goodnight"
