It's painful listening to them attempting to pronounce Digne.

Re: Esteve
It’s a big if, but if he could add Egan-Riley like distribution to his game, the sky would be the absolute limit for him, because he makes the actual defending part look so easy.

Re: Esteve
Bound to be other clubs eyeing him up (and CJ) given our "goals against " column.
Hopefully he'll be in the PL with us.
If not, whoever secures his services will need a hefty cheque book.

If we don't receive huge bids for him I'd be absolutely amazed

Gary Cahill? Player of the season in his 1 season at Turf Moor.gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 9:46 pmI keep saying he’s the best cb I’ve ever seen play for us
In my almost 65 years now of watching Burnley I've seen a number of quality centre-backs/centre-halves. But Steve is right up there in the mix.

Re: Esteve
Gary Cahill was good and went on to have a good career but I honestly think Esteve is better.

It’s like a national Burnley express… shockingly lazy.

Re: Esteve
Even if there WAS anything in this, I’d suggest he can and will do considerably better than Palace. He could be the Virgil replacement the scousers will be screaming for. Defenders get old VERY quickly at PL level.Commy wrote: ↑Sun Feb 09, 2025 12:34 pmhttps://footballleagueworld.co.uk/cryst ... erg-moves/

£40 -50M at least there are teams crying out for decent cbs all with serious money.Liverpool, Citeh and Manure all need a decent cb.Dick VD is good but others around him a much less able
