I don't know, maybe that the midfield are too cautious with their passing and he wanted to come on show that he has the range of pass to give us something different and more direct
Could be wrong I just got the feeling that he went on with the plan to prove a point.

It was quite an odd pass to play at that stage of the game and for where he was on the pitch. He looked very much to be proving the point that he's got something different to offer than our other midfielders.
