Congratulations to our points scorers.
A big 10 points puts Longsider on 145 points whilst still remaining in 4th place.
5 points for Jasper64 and 3 points for counting for Croydon Claret sees them now tied on 115 points in joint 7th place.
5 points for yours truly moves me up to 10th place on 88 points.

Thanks again to Croydon Claret for an entertaining count and to all the counters who took part inspiring the Mighty Clarets to a dominant winning performance with two fine goals and a 10th clean sheet in a row to set a new record at this level.

A word on the debate regarding the measurement of liquid. The food counters handbook section 11 subsection (c) states the following on the measurement of liquid within the food bearing container :-

(c) The measurement of liquid is a notoriously inaccurate process. Chemists attempt to address this during experimentation where the recording of accurate liquid volumes are necessary by using such apparatus as Burettes (for neutral or acidic liquids) and pipettes ( for neutral or alkali liquids). However, unless a counter has access to a chemical laboratory, it is unlikely that any such equipment will be available. Moreover, even this equipment does not guarantee absolute accuracy of measurement. It is therefore acceptable to use a transparent measuring jug to approximate the drained volume of liquid or to take the weight of drained liquid in grammes as the volume in millilitres for the purposes of a food count. In all cases the assessment of the foodcounter performing the count regarding all aspects of measurement, including liquid volumes, is deemed irrevocably final.

I hope this helps.

Up the Mighty Clarets, come what may.

What was in the tin and the artists impression of what they look like are a bit different. I was expecting it to look something like pieces of Melon. Tasting like potato with a slight after taste of pear, is a bit strange.

But somehow I managed to get 5 points. So happy with that!
