I get padding the squad out with experience and nobody can foresee injuries. However imo Redmond was not what we needed especially as getting in a striker was more of a priority. Sorry if it grates but Nathan Redmond will go at the end of the season.

Not based on yesterday's brief outing.

Decidedly off the pace. Great shame. Had hoped he could do things for us.

Perhaps he can in future.
Always best to form strong opinions on a player after 20 minutes….. usually ends well.

Unless he plays his way in to the managers plans in the final games with some good performances then no doubt he'll go but he looked ok when he came on just rusty, he's a better option than Sarmiento/Koleosho for me at the moment and is a more attacking option in the 10 role

Grates? Why would it grate?

He may well go at the end of the season, for a variety of reasons, but being past it and/or not having the footballing ability will not be the reasons. He’s streets ahead of Koleosho and Sarmiento.

Isn't Redmond able to play in a number of positions, thus whilst not ideal, can't he offer cover for our defence, for example?

Certainly a useful option.

They needed a striker when they signed Redmond? Or they needed a striker this season?

Probably both, but either way it's irrelevant unless folk genuinely believe that we signed him at the expense of bringing a striker in.

I'm always baffled by these 'why are we buying a left back when we need a midfielder' type remarks. I assume these people wander around supermarkets filling their trolleys in order of priority. Can't put butter in, we haven't got the toothpaste yet.

Disappointing for both he and us, but there's a long list of players whose absence for the remaining ten games would cause me more concern.

I know everyone's entitled to their own opinions, but I really never understand why some supporters of the club (especially on here), seems to find it alright to slag off and/or call names, on players who play for the club they support. I'm quite sure and I would hope, that every player that pulls on the claret and blue shirt wants to do well for the club and the supporters. So I don't understand why some people feel the need to say negative things about Shelvey and Tresor.

We don't know the ins and outs of what is actually happening with these players, so I don't see why some supporters feel the need to have a dig at them, when they've done nothing to them.
