Re: ARTICLE: Another Saturday afternoon lost with two games moved
What surprises me, given how affected clubs are this season, is that there isn’t a mass coordinated protest on something like the final game (moved to 12:30 and a nightmare to get to). Championship clubs are been quite passive in accepting this constant fixture reshuffle. The TV companies will continue messing us all about.
Having a season ticket when due to distance midweeks are a struggle, that is a big problem for many of us.

The EFL clubs have only recently agreed and signed up to this new TV deal though. Can`t exactly start complaining about it now.CrosspoolClarets wrote: ↑Fri Mar 14, 2025 9:58 amWhat surprises me, given how affected clubs are this season, is that there isn’t a mass coordinated protest on something like the final game (moved to 12:30 and a nightmare to get to). I’m sure the clubs won’t complain, as you say. It’s the passiveness from the fans that surprises me. Not that I’m encouraging protesting of course, but it does ruin the football life for many of us, turning us into armchair fans instead.

I'm sure people will just vote with their feet. I think people in general have got so downtrodden in this country they just expect to get shafted at every turn.CrosspoolClarets wrote: ↑Fri Mar 14, 2025 12:12 pmI’m sure the clubs won’t complain, as you say. i just watch non-league games thesedays - cheaper, better matchday experience and you know KO times wont get messed around.

I am retired and whilst the drive up takes around 3 hours it is my choice and I still enjoy match-day, however my partner is still working and is unable to take that much time off. Her season ticket has been a waste this season.

Friday night is an absolute **** time for football. I’ve missed 7 games this season because of reaarranged fixtures and this will be the 8th. It’s just not worth it. Can you cancel a dd if you didn’t do anything on the renewal date?

think you just do it through the bank then let the club know after you've gone through the bankActing Claret wrote: ↑Fri Mar 14, 2025 9:42 pmFriday night is an absolute **** time for football. It’s exactly what they want - remove the 3pm blackout and away they go.
