Because as usual, he's talking bo**ocks!
The devil expresses himself in a way to get a reaction and clearly he succeeds.
It doesn't need pointing out the ISA is in its infancy and how it is accepted is still to be seen. As has been pointed out, people have got involved with similar groups in the past and quickly got disillusioned with how that group operates.
All most of us want to see is it being prepared to work with all groups, including the FAB, a much more established group with a good working relationship with the club.

The FAB is the club's body, it's run by the club and, so far as I'm aware, the members were chosen by the club (not necessarily a bad thing, they appear to have deliberately gone for a more diverse membership than you may end up with using other methods). The relationship with the club is the point of the FAB, it is set up in line with the league's requirements for clubs to engage with fans.

I ask genuinely and with no skin in the game, what did the Clarets Trust manifest into?
I can't speak for Chester but I do remember discussing the Trust with some of the leading members at the time it started up and they were very focused on buying up shares as a strategy which I did, and still do, think was a bit pointless.
To be honest I think the trust suffered as one of the main guys involved in the start up and CT didn't get on for some long rooted reason so the publicity it received on the predecessors to this board was minimal at best.

Thank you for that breakdown although I'm not sure it alters anything I wrote

Must admit, I joined the Trust, however it's activities seem to be limited to sitting on shares and passing on minutes of FAB meetings.

It is but it chooses the fans representatives, not the fans.
