Re: Hotel breakfast.
Holiday Inn has always been good whenever I've stayed at one. Not the Express, a real one

Poor ingredients, “cooked” badly by people who couldn't care less, delivered to your table by people who wished they were elsewhere. I’d sooner pay more, in the hope I’d get better ingredients and those working got paid better.
In a choice of spoons or go hungry, I’m bin dipping.
Stopped at Spoons all over the country enroute to matches and apart from an odd one, breakfasts have been fine, especially when taking the price into account.

Re: Hotel breakfast.
Must say a classic one which is may have said before on here , anyway the holiday inn in Burnley before a game .
Myself and the wife went down for breakfast now she didn't really like anything that offer , she did think about the scrambled eggs but asked if she could have two boiled eggs , the waiter said I will ask the chef .
Now a couple of minutes later he returned and said the chef said he has no eggs , now the wife said how did he make the scrambled eggs then , the waiter said ohhh they come out if a packet .

Re: Hotel breakfast.
The OP asked which is the best hotel or B&B breakfast people have experienced. Some people have mentioned Wetherspoons, which isn’t a hotel or B&B, and certainly isn’t a quality breakfast. I just find that amusing - like someone asking what the best Michelin Star restaurant they’ve eaten at and someone saying that McDonalds in Colne is good value.

But their post doesn't say it's the best. Plus wetherspoons have plenty of hotels.Rileybobs wrote: ↑Sun Jul 20, 2025 6:55 pmThe OP asked which is the best hotel or B&B breakfast people have experienced. The best breakfast I have is every Saturday morning at home,my wife cooks the most amazing fry ups so I tend to avoid hotels and be at home most Saturdays
