That's why it's important to celebrate DL getting their noses rubbed in it.

The Saturday just got sweeter.

Re: Today's Other Football
Today puts our performances into perspective.
We lost 3-0 to Spurs and score wasn't a true reflection. They beat City away 2-0 today.
Sunderland beat W Ham 3-0 and lost 2-0 to us today.
I think we'll comfortably avoid relegation and once our squad is fully fit we'll have far more options to change things from the bench.

Why did Arsenal not let Dowman take the penalty he won.. would have been the youngest Prem goal scorer.

Re: Today's Other Football
If my memory serves me correctly, as diabolical as Manchester United were last season, they didn’t lose a game against any of the 3 recently promoted clubs.
As you say this is a much improved United from last campaign. A front 3 of Mbuemo, Cunha and Sesko will surely test our defensive capabilities.

They are also working way harder and moving around the pitch quicker - you can see they will get caught at the other end thoughkentonclaret wrote: ↑Sun Aug 24, 2025 4:41 pmIf my memory serves me correctly, as diabolical as Manchester United were last season, they didn’t lose a game against any of the 3 recently promoted clubs.

Crazy decision. Mount doing same, but proved weaker. First foul was by Mount. Justice.

This foul happens all the time with nothing being given, if a United player does this to a Claret next week no way will we get a pen.

That was funny - but that decision was disgustingly biased

They didn't show the ref the initial lean in by mount. I wonder why

Re: Today's Other Football
Not sure which penalty was worse. That one or Wellbeck's in the earlier game.
Re: Today's Other Football
I suppose VAR will be giving a good few penalties a game now we've set the barometer for what constitutes a penalty.
Re: Today's Other Football
Nevilles a k**b ... Justice served with Fernandez skying the pen ... as Man U players doing just as much grappling in the Fulham box wrestling Fulham to the ground ...Conroysleftfoot wrote: ↑Sun Aug 24, 2025 5:12 pmNeville blaming the ref for Fernández missing the pen,.

Re: Today's Other Football
I have to be honest, I thought they'd find a way for us to be the first club to be penalised for holding at corners. Unlucky, Fulham.
Not sure how different it was to the Arsenal player who had Mount's shirt over his head last week, to score against United. Big clubs getting the decisions, I suppose...

Cunha is going to wonder why he has gone to this lot. He’s way better than any of his teammates and could play for one of the top 3.

Sky doubling down on Fernandes being “put off” by the referee lightly bumping into him.

Re: Today's Other Football
In fairness I can see Fernandes missing the pen because of the ref. No one else would, but Fernandes has that personality to focus more on the ref bumping into him, rather than putting the ball in the back of the net.
I'll never forget him asking to be taken off when United were getting tonked by Liverpool. Never seen another player do that.

You have to laugh at the irony. Var and ref make mistakes by giving the pen and yet all the focus is on the refs next mistake of accidentally touching Fernandes.agreenwood wrote: ↑Sun Aug 24, 2025 5:25 pmSky doubling down on Fernandes being “put off” by the referee lightly bumping into him.
