Who says anyone else scores 4?.....certainly not bottom 10 teams, which is what matters

Re: Manchester United v Burnley - Player Ratings
Dubravka 8 Great game, some big saves, unlucky with first, no chance with 2nd Nearly got to 3rd
Walker 5 Maybe harsh, but defensively poor today, out of position a number of times and at fault for the first, although perhaps unfairly. Thrown ins are a threat.
Ekdal 6 Really good for the most part but got muscled out of the way the for the second,
Esteve 7 Good today growing in confidence and now a threat a set pieces, two or three good flick ons today.
Hartmann 5 Positionally poor, looks a little bit overwhelmed by it all. Looked to be struggling today.
Bruun Larsen 5 probably deserves a 4 but produced a great assist. Doesn’t look fit.
Cullen 6 Does what he does but Fernandes had too much space, the whole game
Ugochukwu 7 good use of the ball, carried it well, put himself about, looks like he will improve.
Hannibal 5 struggling at the minute to see what he offers apart from work rate
Anthony 6 loses a mark despite it being a poor decision, those are the kind of things big teams get. You don’t do it in the first place.
Foster 8 Wow Lyle, good shift, good goal unlucky to not have 2
Subs:
Laurent 6
Tchuoana 6
A mixed bag of marks, for a mixed bag of a performance, lucky to go in at half time only 1 down. Poor all over the pitch, second balls non existent. Lot of 3’s and 4’a at half time. Dubravka kept us in it.
Second half far more positive, JBL was an attacking threat, two good goals, one from a set piece and everyone looked a bit more at it, threat from throw ins, but not dead balls is till a concern.
Result was a stinker though, knew they would get a pen, it was like having Jon Moss reffing all over again, there is bias, today was embarrassing.
Well done to those that travelled, a real racket in the away end.

The first half was as poor as we've played in a long while.
Better second, but too many basic errors.
We helped make a very, very ordinary side look good.

Not so sure they are, Buxton.
They fair battered Arsenal at home the other week, just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net.

Agree with all of thisJakubs Tash wrote: ↑Sat Aug 30, 2025 6:25 pmWe were awful in the first half - second half we were good. In fact, we improved immeasurably when Hannibal went off. Some of the high scores for attacking players are baffling when they literally did nothing for half the game…

No time for comments on each tonight but overall first half was worrying whilst second was deeply encouraging. I won’t get drawn on the Varce but to say the Foster goal was on and the re-reffing of the game at the end is commonplace, so consistent, yet wrong, and it is killing the sport.
The other thought is we have played five at the back for 180 minutes (plus a few vs Sunderland) and conceded 6 goals. If we are to drop our most dangerous players like Edwards and go with two extra bodies with defensive qualities (incl. Hannibal) this goals against column won’t do it. I think our defence would do better as a narrow four, but, if a five, Edwards or Tchaouna must play instead of Hannibal behind the striker.

Re: Manchester United v Burnley - Player Ratings
Dubravka 9-Basically kept us in the game
Walker 5-I would have expected more leadership from someone of his stature,
Ekdal 5-Sorry but he was clearly at fault for there second and I wouldn't be surprised to see a RCB brought in.
Esteve 6-Not one of his best
Hartman 5-Where was he is the 1st half. Never got near Imad.
Cullen 7-One of the few pluses over 90 minutes.
Ugo 8-He looked head and shoulders above any other outfield player. Composure and reassurance on the ball.
Bruun Larsen 5-I wasn't a fan first time around and i've seen nothing to change my mind thus far.
Hannibal 5-Plenty of energy and endeavour but we need more than that at this level.
Anthony 5-None existent in the 1st, redeemed himself somewhat in 2nd bar the shirt pull.
Foster 7- Though he was excellent and full of running, Fingers crossed he can stay fit.
Tchaouna 6-Thought he'd have started instead of Hannibal. He did enough on Tuesday nigh to earn it.
